Editorial Review for Bo Brooks Crab House – by Laureen Miles Brunelli
The Scene
Once the quintessential Bawlmer crab house, this high-end restaurant's new home in the heart of Canton's urban renewal is a long way from its old Belair Road location. Despite the fancy digs and the upscale menu, steamed crabs are still king--as the brown paper on the tables and booths with vinyl seats attest. With stunning harbor views all year and outdoor dining in season, the time to go is just as sunset gives way to the city lights.
The Food
Even in the off-season, steamed crabs are meaty, and the spicing doesn't overpower. While the velvety cream of crab soup is lighter in texture than most, it's still heavy with crab meat--just beware of shells. Crab cakes, with an array of expertly executed side dishes, are substantial with a slight mustard undercurrent.

Not only did Bo Brooks provide me with the worst crabs we have ever had, the overal experience was the worst dinig experience I have had. I would steer everyone clear of the place. After waiting over 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, half of the crabs we had were mushy. No real apologies from management.
Pros: parking, view
Cons: food, service

Terrible crabs, they said they were colossal and they were probably medium. Service was terrible, had to wait a very long time. I eat crabs about 20ty some times a year so I know crabs. This is not like the old Bo Brooks. Would not go back. 102.00 a dozen for crabs, Some were mushy. Emailed them to get a response about 10 days ago on there comment card with my phone number and email address to see if I would get a response. Heard nothing yet. I guess they don't read the comment card. Went with a party of 6, There oyster dinner was very good and cheap but 5 of us went for crabs, never again.
Pros: Parking ok
Cons: Service was very bad and slow, Over price for crabs, must be the location
