try the lunch special. The lunch special during the week is worth it. Sometimes there's a coupon online where if you buy 1 you get the second 1/2 price so you pay $10.50 or so for 2 lunches - 2 small pizzas each with 2 toppings of your choice, a salad, and a drink. Great deal! Only problem is sometimes they don't cook the pizza all the way and its a little gooey in the middle. The crust is kind of wheat tasting too so its not exactly traditional.
Awful Pizza. This is the worst place in baltimore to get pizza. I can't believe it has so many good ratings here. The food is expensive ($18) for a lg pie, and it tastes horrible, people in baltimore do not know pizza. There are 2 better places within 2 blocks that are way better... across the street is hot tomatoes which is good but down the same street is little italy pizza which is amazing... check that out.
VERY GOOD PIZZA. I stayed in Baltimore for 2 nights and 3 days. My boyfriend and I heard about this pizzeria on this website and decided to go. The piza was so good that we decided to eat there again our second night. I actually had something other than their pizza and that was delicious as well! They make special sodas such as watermelon, hazelnut and chocolate. BRILLIANT!
BOP Pizza Rocks. Exactly what you want in a pizza joint - no fancy atmosphere, great food, decent prices. Friendly customers.
Disappointment.
The BOP serves up some awesome pizza, unfortunately I've gone twice that they served me up an old piece of precooked pizza that they threw some topping on and reheated. Not quite the same as having the topping cooked on the pizze initially.
Also, being lactose intolerant I often get my pizza without cheese. The last time I did this at this establishment they took a precooked piece of cheese pizza and pulled the cheese off.. then reheated it. I could tell because some of the old cheese was still stuck to the crust. I wasn't very happy about this.
The owner's are wonderful people and generally the food rocks.. I guess you just have to watch going during slow business hours.
Pizza Heaven. REALLY GREAT pizza in a little hole in the wall dive in the scenic and happening Fells Point area. Plan for a long wait in line to order (at the counter) and very basic decor, but the pizza really is to die for.
YUM. BOP has great pizza...How could it not, you build it yourself!! They also carry the greatest root beer made. It is from Milwaukee and starts with an S. (forgive me, it has a German name I can't begin to remember how to spell.) Definitely the best pizza in Baltimore.
Everyone from local police to visiting celebrities stop here for informal pizza with a gourmet touch..
The Scene
"Build Your Own Slice," proclaims the neon sign over the door, which shouldn't be too hard with more than 52 toppings to choose from. The decor is functional, with square pedestal tables, linoleum floor tiles and ceiling fans. The all-important wood fire blazes in a cylindrical oven.
The Food
In addition to classic favorites, you can also top your 10-, 14- or 18-inch pie with clams, spinach, ricotta, broccoli or fresh garlic. Specialty pizzas include Ranch Chicken, Greek, BLT and Just About Everything. BOP's salads, sandwiches and just-right pastas are so carefully presented you'll almost forget you're eating off foam plates with plastic forks. BOP also offers 27 flavors of syrup to add to soft drinks or coffee. Don't miss the fruit-topped Chocolate Pizza made from puff pastry, raspberry glaze, and dark and white chocolate.
Fresh BOP anyone?. The place has very good pizza. Only 2 things I noticed...very hard to find a parking spot in the Fells Point area and the lighting is a little poor.
