MUST TO AVOID This woman contracted me to write some copy for her web site. I bent over backwards to accommodate her—references, writing sample, tons of emails, etc. She gave me the go-ahead for the job, and, as is customary, I told her I would need a deposit—no different from what she would expect in her line of work. Though she assured me she would put the money in my Paypal, she never did. Simply disappeared, would not return my communications. Finally got her on the phone; told me she was “so glad I called”, assured me she was looking forward to getting the job under way. Her way of turning on the sweetness was almost scary. Then just disappeared again. She strikes me as untrustworthy and/or a complete flake. I would strongly advise NOT working with her, as well as reading the comments that are all over the web about her (wish I had). I’m not one to normally go out of my way to write bad reviews but in this case I felt compelled.

greatest experience for 4 years and counting. Mary's is absolutely amazing. I have been a costumer there for 4 years and I plan on taking my business there for years to come. I found my first prom dress there and the prices were within reason and the dress was gorgeous! I couldn't have asked for anything better and now I just found my pageant gown there! I love Marys!

THE place for THE dress!. I began my search for my wedding gown in March 13 months before my wedding date. I had been to several bridal shops and tried on so many wedding dresses

but nothing was right. My friends came with me to Mary's after it was suggested by colleagues at work. When we walked into Mary's we were immediately welcomed and made to feel comfortable. I tried on several gowns and knew right away it was "the dress" I had a wonderful experience at Mary's Bridal!

Excellent Service and Dresses--check it out for yourself!. I had a very good experience at Mary's Bridal. The service was excellent and beyond compare. Natasha was my consultant she was very helpful.she was also very knowledgeable about the different styles of dresses. I had a wonderful experience from my very first visit until my last visit when I picked up my Wedding dress. I went to several different shops when looking for dresses and I used sites such as Yelp and this one to find boutiques. I would caution everyone looking for a dress to read through all of the reviews not just the ones on the first couple of pages. Mary's has excellent service and dresses and you will find other satisfied brides like myself who would go to Marys again and again. I wanted to share with everyone because I almost skipped Marys because of some of the negative reviews on these sites and am sure glad that I didn't.

BEWARE!. Brides, please beware. Mary's Bridal is passing off knockoff designer made gowns as "handmade" designs made by Mary. I tried on a dress that was "one of Mary's designs" later to find out it was an Allure dress which I came across at another bridal shop.

I had told the salesperson that I was in love with a Jim Hjelm dress. She asked which one specifically, she looked it up on her computer. To my surprise, when I peaked over, she was at a discounted designer inspired website instead of the Jim Hjelm website.

Here is what I think is going on - for those brides that are in a pinch for time, Mary's claims they can make you the dress. When in all reality they are ordering dresses from a similar website, altering them (minimally) and calling them their own creations. I could not be more appalled.

I could not tell you how disappointed I was in my entire experience at Mary's Bridal. I wish I had read reviews first. Please save yourself the time and heartache. When you take the emotion out of it, you will realize all they are after is a quick sell (especially since they want all of the money up front). They also wanted $100 for cups to be inserted, $100 for bussel alterations, and $198 for shipping. Why would they need all of this if the dress was custom, made to order?

I later found my dream dress - for $1,100 LESS than what they were selling the knock off for. I immediately could tell in the different in fabric.

My salesperson had called asking why I had cancelled my appointment. I told her that I was confused as to what her bridal shop was trying to do... she proceeded to say a lot of bridal shops create gowns that look just like the real things. They know what they are doing, and they are getting away with it!

If you want to pay for snobbery. They are skilled at sizing you up as you walk through the door and deciding how to encourage or discourage your search. Seemed like they wanted to be paid just for saying hello. After hitting almost every bridal shop in Maryland and Virginia, I can honestly say their dresses aren't anything special and definately not worth the over inflated price tag. Yuck!

GREAT. My experience at Mary’s was GREAT. Every time I come here I enjoy being around the ladies that work here. They make sure that you love what you’re wearing and also love how it fits your body. This experience will be something that I will always remember.
