Yummy to my Tummy. Just so you know this is not on West 36th St anymore. It is in the 3400 block of Chectnut Ave , the old Hanson building. Now this place is great. The cakes and donuts are to die for,and now they have breakfast and lunch. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is good. And they are so friendly,even at 6:00am. You should try they next time you are in hampden,you won't be sorry.

Desiccated wedding cakes line the corner storefront windows as examples of New System's down-home artistry. Inside, beneath the requisite Formica countertop (and overly bright fluorescent lights), glass cases display an assortment of breads, cakes, cookies and pies. While historical photos on the pastel walls speak of the establishment's golden era, the pastries--from fruit-filled Danishes and flaky bear claws to specialty items like chocolate drop cupcakes--reaffirm that this bakery's raison d'etre is timeless.

Baltimore's Secret Treasure. This bakery has been around for many years. They have a large variety of baked goods. I have eaten at many bakeries over the years this one of the best. They don't offer as many varieties as they use to, but they will special order. They are great I highly recommend giving them a try.
