Family owned, very friendly and good food. When I don't want to spend to much on a night out I'll go to Amers and then the discount movie house in the same shopping center and the whole night for two people will cost me $50...can't beat that! Perfect dinner is start with some Humus (some of the best around, falafel is also very good), then I love the mediterranean pizza and top it off with some katafi...which after you stuff yourself with the great food is the perfect light desert.
Pros: Very friendly, lots of parking, easy to find location, good food
Cons: Only one refill on my Ice tea!!!

The title says it all. I have had Mid Eastern food in many place, including Detroit, which has one of the largest Mid Eastern populations in the US. The food at Amer's is not good. We ordered 2 different types of kabobs. They were both greasy. Lots of rice, not much meat or veggies. They were also salty. The babaghanoush was just plain strange tasting. The dressings for the tiny little bit of lettuce and tomato that comprised the "salad" were not good either. The falafel didn't taste like anything other than the sesame seeds that were on top. We will not be going here again.
Pros: Restaurant seemed clean
Cons: The food did not taste good, was greasy
