The Scene – Roses--in teacups, on the china and throughout the Victorian carpet's pattern--nearly overtake this Fells Point eatery. The only things more prevalent are the teacups, which are exhibited on almost every flat surface. Behind them, icy pink walls set off the bursts of greenery dangling in the lace-draped windows while lantern sconces and plain slat woodwork add a hint of rusticity, that suggests faded--rather than classic--elegance. – – The Food – High tea unfolds in artfully presented, if unevenly executed, courses. Disgusted by the Service.

by Hello646

After reading many of the reviews here, I was saddened by my experience with this tea room.

First, after making a reservation weeks in advance, I arrived, paid for parking only to find out my reservation had been "dismissed" in favor of a Bridal Shower.

My second experience was worse. I called to make a reservation for "High Tea". The rude salesgirl began by giving me pricing over the phone! I didn't ask the price, I asked to make a reservation! Then after she gave me the price, she asked if I were still interested... as if I could not afford the tea. I felt extremly disrespected by her, but was still willing to endure her attitude. The last straw came when in attempting to make the reservation for 3, the rude woman who answered the phone expected me to give her my cc information.

At this point, I felt that the salesperson was making a deliberate judgement about me based on the fact that I am African American and will NEVER EVER patronize this place. I would suggest other's follow suit.
