Harrased and Threated!. Complaint Description:

Safeway 11:05 PM 10/18/2011 Owings Mills, MD Joel the manager denied me the price of $1.99 when you buy 4 V8 Smoothies. First he told me it was the wrong size, 46 oz, then I pointed out it was 36 oz as stated in the add. Then he tried to charge me $2.99 for the products, when it was clearly stated in the add of the promotion that was going on, so I went and got the price tag off the shelf. The bar codes and products matched, and it stated the price of $1.99. Joel told me today we are going by what the receipt says. I explained that he can not charge me something other than the advertised price, and the marked price in store, especially when it wasn't a typo or mistake! He told me it did not matter, and I already save the money I was going to save today, and he stool at $2.99 I explained that he was breaking company policy, and he said, "I don't care, get the HELL out of my store." You can watch the tapes or get the witnessed that are needed that were there at this time. He threatened me with calling the police and he told me to get the '"Hell" our of his store. This was with customers around too; this was embarrassing and made me very upset. He had such a smirky attitude, and he thought he could do whatever he wanted. He told me to call 1800 Safeway and file a complaint if I had a problem with the way he was doing things. I could not make my purchase and wasted almost a hour of my time and could not even get the groceries I needed! He said some things under his breath as I walked out of the store.
