Misleading 2nd pair free - arrogant service. I'll add my agreement with the below negative comments regarding this outlet at Arundel MIlls. Last month, with new eyeglass RX in hand, I went to this store to get a regular lens bifocals and a "free" pair of prescription sunglasses. For years I have used Lenscrafters and have always been very satisfied with their service and quality of their product. This time I decided to use Vision Works. First of all the frames I picked were at $79 a piece, but somehow with the lens the the product now cost over $400. Coupled with the "free" pair the total bill came to over $800, BUT the bill was halved with deducting the price of the second pair. I could have bought the same product at Lenscrafters for half the price Visionworks charged (i.e. $200 vs $400). Stupidly and inexplicably I went ahead with the purchase. Now comes the service part: The salesperson told me it would be 2-3 days before the glasses would be ready. Three days later, without a phone call from them, I called them and found out the glasses weren't ready. It was finally 8 business days when I to called them again to learn that the glasses were ready. When I went to the store I found out that the glasses came in several days before. Lastly, not even a thank you when I left the store with my glasses. I would not doubt that this treatment and flim-flam is standard throughout the Vision Works organization. Too bad I never checked these people out on websites such as this before buying here.
WASTE of TIME and MONEY - DON'T GO!!!. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! WASTE of TIME AND MONEY!!!!! If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. They seem to have NO IDEA what's going on. They take forever, keep you on hold for long periods, provide you with conflicting information, and order and prepare the WRONG glasses. We chose them last minute before Christmas, as my son had broken his current glasses and needed a new pair before leaving for the holidays. I called and was assured that for the majority of basic lenses and most frames they would be able to complete them in an hour. I specifically stated that I did not want to set up an appointmnet if they would not be able to prepare at least 1 pair the same day. We WAITED in the lobby for our appointment for well OVER an hour, then after our Dr. appointment was completed, we were told that the technician had just taken his last order for the day and would not accept any more until the next day (due to the volume of walk-ins they were taking care of and too many to complete). Now that we had already had the Dr. see him we were committed to paying for at least the visit. He picked out regular frames and sports frames that he loved and against my better judgment, we ordered them. After Christmas we picked up the regular pair and was told the sports glasses would be a little longer. 3 weeks later, we call to check - they tell us they had been ready and claimed to have left us several messages. I checked my phone records - no calls from them. When we picked them up, they had entered our telephone number incorrectly in the system (interesting since they had called the correct number when the first pair was ready). My husband gets there, and they had prepared the ORIGINAL PAIR (that they have in stock) again, not the sports glasses. In order to appease us, they gave us the incorrect pair as a spare and ordered the sports glasses yet again. I called again today (3 weeks later) and after being put on hold for more than 10 minutes TWICE, was told the technician was out and they would call me back - yeah right. I had to call back, wait on hold for ANOTHER 10 minutes to be told that the fhey were still waiting on the frames. What a WASTE! I've scheduled an apointment with another eyecare facility, where I will have to pay for another visit - but maybe we'll actually get the glasses we order.
Doctor's Visionworks. Do not ever use Doctor's Visionworks at 1315 North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs, Colorado because they do not take care of the customer after they get your money. They have a ridiculous 30 day policy limit on slight corrections to your contact lens prescription! After you pay $108.00 for your vision testing and your fitting they will work with you to get your contact lenses for 30 days only after they write a prescription. Kaiser Permanente has a much better 90 day policy on this. Any place in Colorado Springs has to be better than this place. Doctor's Visionworks will charge you $70 if you want a slight correction to your contact lens prescription after 30 days! They do not take care of the customer's needs at all. Please do not use them because they will rip you off and leave you hanging and will refuse to help you after they write you a prescription if 30 days has expired. How ridiculous and rude can a company be towards their customer's anyway? They also have old antiquated vision testing equipment there and it keeps you coming back over and over to get your vision successfully corrected. Your time is valuable and you need your vision successfully corrected on the first or second try not the fifth try. They never had the same doctor there twice either and I had to deal with someone different each trip. How awful is that? Very awful treatment. One of the young male doctor's there was very rude. Very unprofessional and degrading towards me. This place needs a class on customer relations to say the least. If you do not believe me go ahead and use them for contact lenses. You will end up feeling ripped off and left hanging out in the cold and upset to say the least. If your chart shows to many trips to their store they will start to mention it to you to make you feel inadequate too. Contact lenses are hard to fit and these people seem to have too much else to do to help you. Please do not use this company for your vision needs.
Awful Craftsmenship and Service. So although it is nice that they have the buy 1 pair get 1 free and have a decent selection of frames the service is awful. I had ordered glasses and when I got them a screw was missing and they tried to tell us to buy a repair get, for their missing screw. Then we notice the frame was warped around the lens. The woman tried to argue the fact with me and saying they inspect them and noticed nothing. Then they ordered me a replacement frame, the same woman claims she left a message for me that I never got. We go in for them to swap the frames and they still did not get the lenses in properly. So then we demanded a refund and they couldn't get it to work so now I am waiting for a manager that will supposedly call me with the refund info. I have a friend that is a supervisor for lenscrafters lab and she says it sounds like they broke alot of rules in installing the lenses, via overheating. I really do not recommend anyone go there.
Good Service, great prices.
I had a very good experience here. I went on Feb 12, 2011 for my annual eye checkup and to get new contacts and glasses. They took me 5 minutes before my appt time, and everyone who interacted with me--from the front desk worker to the glasses fitter, the eye Dr and the person who gave me my reciept--were all professional, efficient and pleasant to encounter.
Lynette, one employee in particualr, took about 5 minutes with me going over my insurance and payment options to make sure I would get the best deal on both glasses and contacts.
Their 1/2 price policy on glasses rock, and **BONUS** my glasses were ready in 1 hour **AT NO EXTRA COST**.
i'll be heading there next year again.
HORRIBLE AND RUDE!!!!!.
I came to visionworks to ask a quote, it sounded good, but once they got your money it was a whole different story!!! I forgot my insurance and they say to bring it back, and when i did, this black lady came over and furrowed her brow and put her lips in a thin line!!! What a n*gger!!!! She pout me on hold for like 30 minutes to call the insurance company, each 5 minutes saying she'd still callin when obviously not cause she went around talking with others. This is true because it turn out that the insurance company isnt open on Saturday!!! Hah!!! You can figure that out by simply calling. Well I came back to pick up the glasses 2 weeks later, and only got one. Apparantly, they lost the other one!!! But of course they wont admit that because they kept asking if it was a special order, and its not!!! i caleld them the 3rd week and they asked the same question, gonna call me back but i know that is b*llshit. I called them a few days later, and they did same routine and will put me to manager and guess what? They f*cking hang up on me!!!!!! I was nice but these people need some good lynching from the klu klux klan!!!
You F*CKING INCOMPPETENT N*GGERS! The location and place is good but the employee need to learnr some respect. If only i could give this place neg stars
They Must have changed managers?. Ok I read the review below, and that sounded like a HORRIBLE experience. One of my friends told me not to go there, but I did cause it was most convenient. I was greeted right away by Dominick who checked me in, then sent me to the frames. I could not find one I was sure really suited me. A new manager rep came over (I knew he was new cause he was not sure about how to enter in some stuff in the computer, but asked, and he still was an excellent customer service rep) and helped me pick out some frames that were not expensive, and looked good, so my friends tell me. SO this was July23, 2010. Well yesterday my lenses cracked somehow, so I emailed them on the main website, I got a voicemail the next morning from Dominick at the store telling me to bring them in and he will replace the lenses no problem, no charge. So i brought them in, and not to get into race, but it was the white chick that asked me about a warranty, Dominick overheard, and said, "No, She is good to go"....I am white by the way....not that it really matters, but I thought it was worth saying because I was treated with respect and courtesy by the new at the time African American sales manager , and Dominick. All I can say is they must have changed a lot of their staff. Even though my lenses broke, I am happy with the customer service obtained.
Lowest Bidder. The Arundel MiIls Visionworks is obviously in business due to there low prices. When you go to a business that is the cheapest around there are many drawbacks. Lack of customer service and employees who dislike white people is there main issue. I am sure the low prices bring in new customers but it doesn’t bring back repeat customers. I went in at 815 only to be told that I needed to speak to the manager to replace glasses that were under warranty. I sit down and wait to be helped yet every other person that walked through the door was helped before me as I was unacknowledged by the manager for 45 minutes. When she did talk to me it was confrontational and I was basically called a liar saying that I did not purchase the additional insurance. I should have brought all the paperwork with me as the files they keep in hard copy format and in there computer system did not help me. The people that work there are not white people and me being white saw exactly who they wanted to help and who they didn’t want to help. The actions of these people and how this business is run makes me question why I am part of a system that ensures the freedom of these people and there ability to take part in a business. This isn’t the first nor will it be the last bad review of this business. I know Visionworks has a feedback/survey system but that is not where people put there distaste for this location or there inept employees. Visionworks needs to get people to review local reviews and send in secret shoppers to see what exactly happens there.
Do not go there!!. This store used to be a good location to purchase glasses and I have dealt with them for about 8 years but now I am NEVER going back. To make a long story short, we asked for the STORE MANAGER to look for my sons lenses at different stores and he REFUSED!! Complete lack of compassion for the customer is what every employee shows!!!! If you want aweful service, rude employees and a complete lack of compentency then go there, if not, find a new eye glass store!! What the website says about outstanding customer service and great value is a bold face LIE!!!
Arundel mills location. I paid 196.00 for 2 pair of glasses with polycarbonated lens and an exam now at my initial exam I was in and out within an hr. One thing that I didn't like was when I was picking out the frames no one came over to ask if I needed help I think that because of their prices if they stepped it up in the customer service area their business would be a lot better although I must say Dr. Williams was very nice so I give her 5 stars
