The Scene
Located across the street from a farm, this bucolic wine bar has something for all times of day. In the morning, the Iron Bridge acts as a cafe, selling coffee and baked goods; for lunch and dinner, it serves a changing, sophisticated menu of light meals such as cheese plates, salads and seafood. The space is small and fills up quickly. If the two-person tables along one wall seem too close together, there are always the stools along the sleek bar. A grouping of overstuffed chairs create a cozy gathering spot in a corner by the door.
The Draw
Walls are lined with bottles of cabernets, pinots and zinfandels; dozens are available by the glass. The wine flights, which bring you multiple glasses of different vintages, are a great way to explore. Bottled beers and liquors--including cordials, cognacs and single-malt scotches--are also available. Wine tastings are hosted regularly.

Dont get me wrong, the food is very tasty, that is if they manage to cook your meat how you requested it. But the wait, the price, and the attitude all negate that. This place is trying to cater to the local Clarksville persona. People who have a lot of money and need a venue at which they can flaunt it. Consequently the crowd is very wine snobbish and the wait staff is condescending to anyone who doesn't fit the profile. The menu is good if you go there one time. But contrary to what they say, the menu never changes. There is no "seasonal" and there is no weekly rotation. I've been there three times through the year and the menu was identical each time. Choose from two proteins, that's it. A couple of appetizers, and desserts are also offered. But be prepared to break your bank for a wanna-be five star restaurant. So, if you have some money you are looking to waste, and I mean WASTE, then this place is right up your alley.

Althought the atmosphere is nice and the view outside is great, the food was just ok. My husband and I had lunch here several months ago and enjoyed it, so we decided to go back for an anniversary dinner. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the food. I got the salmon and my husband got the steak and neither one of us cared for it. We also did not like the dessert, a pumpkin dish and the service was pretty slow. So, all in all, I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner. Maybe ok for lunch and a nice view, but not for dinner. PROS: Nice atmosphere CONS: Unfortunately, the food was not great.

We were driving around Columbia today and found the The Iron Bridge Wine Company. It seemed that they were having a tasting party, but no it was just an ordinary day. We wer able to try some good wines before purchasing them. They also sold some great food and even had a small dining area. The parking lot is small and if you are not careful you'll pass right by...but it is definitely a wine shop worth the stop.
