Don't Go There!. My husband and I dined at the MS grill yesterday, Friday 11/28/08. Normally we have enjoyed your chain, as we live in the DC area. To begin with, there were 2 homeless men asleep at 2:30 in the afternoon, right outside the revolving door. Inside, 8 tables around remained unserviced for the entire meal, with food all over the floor and chairs everywhere. My husband's cup of soup came completely spilled over the sides, the cracker package was soaked, and the soup was all over the outside of the cup. Our meals, southwest salmon salad and steak salad, where also terrible. The salmon was completely overcooked, it seems a long time before the meal, as was the steak. The salad was drenched in what it seems to be a cup of dressing each. Both meals were inedible. We would have spoken to our waiter about the meals, but he disappeared and the busboy got us our bill. I can say I have NEVER written a restaurant before and have had many a less then enjoyable experience, but this meal and unclean restaurant takes first prize!

Avoid it !!!. Horrible service - Small Portions - High Prices for Portion Size - Food is fair at best.

Went on a Monday night, they were not busy and it took 30 minutes to get beverages and at 2 hours we just finished our salads. Just don't go - what a disappointment.

parasitic mini-crabs in the raw oysters and an unforgivably novice waiter. Yesterday, the day after Thanksgiving, my in-laws were in town and wanted to "eat at the harbor" while they were visiting. As a person who lives in the city, I knew we were taking a risk eating at the tourist trap that is the Inner Harbor, but I figured that if I at least steered them to a place like M&S Grill, it couldn't turn out too bad. I was so wrong. By far, the worst part about our visit was the strange, spider-like creatures that were living in the raw oysters we ordered. How could BOTH the person who shucked the oysters AND the waiter neglect to see the pale, slimy, creatures that were pumping their legs up and down in the half-shell?? My sister-in-law freaked out and totally lost her appetite as soon as I pointed out the grotesque alienish creatures in one of our oysters. None of us had ever seen anything like it before. We showed the waiter and he said, "They shouldn't be like that?" When I later did research at home, I found out that the creatures were "oyster crabs" or "pea crabs" so they were harmless to us, but they meant that the oysters were bad. The fact that we were (1) served bad oysters, that (2) had moving parasites in them which several employees didn't notice and (3) that none of the staff knew what they were was just plain inexcusable. Our other lunch items were horrible (except for the french fries) but it's not like anyone had much of an appetite left at that time anyway. The final insult: when the waiter brought us the check, they hadn't even credited us anything for the oysters and we had to ask him to take them off the check. As we left, we saw that they had written "86 the oysters" on the whiteboard. I'd advise that you not eat there.

great food, good fun. the m&s grill provided down home cooking with a baltimore flare, the bar area was neat and clean, the drinks made were fabulous my apple martini was amazing, the service was fast prompt and friendly. even the management was a blast to deal with. the entrees were reasonable priced. Everything was great i highly recommend this resturant if you are ever in the Baltimore neighborhood.

An Inner Harbor offshoot of a popular seafood chain comes into its own with comfort food just like Grandma used to make.. In Short
M&S Grill mimics the upscale atmosphere and seafood cuisine of its parent chain. White tablecloths, wood paneling and deep green walls evoke a New York-style grill; the tilapia, swordfish and catfish are fresh daily. But this intimate eatery also appeals to diners looking to break free of its predecessor's successful seafood mold. The diverse menu includes steaks, poultry, and classic American dishes like meatloaf, pot roast and chicken pot pie--all made from scratch.
