Simply the Best.
I'm local and go there regularly. Been through the menu and it's all good. No losers in there at all.
My favorites: Chile Verde and the Los Portales Dinner when I can't make up my mind.
The salsa is OK but would be great w/o the cilantro and the chips great.
It does get crowded but I'm happy with that. They'll be there next week.

Authentic ? Delicious ? Love it!!!. Since moving to Baltimore, I've missed the authentic Mexican food we could get in North Carolina (yes, in NC!). But, Los Portales is by far the best around. I love the cheese dip! And they serve REAL fajitas... not those knockoffs that are served elsewhere when they just lay the chicken breast on top of some peppers and onions. I love the beans! I love the salsa! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Most importantly, they are affordable!

Best Mexican Restaurant in Maryland!. Authentic and delicious! We travel an hour to dine here and it's worth it! Everything on the menu is tasty especially the authentic rice and refried beans! The Chimis are incredible!

Best Mexican Restaurant in Anne Arundel County. Love the food, atmosphere, service......a wonderful Mexican Restaurant. We have taken friends there and have recommended it to people and they all love it! They have great Margaritas also!

Best Authentic in the area. Los Portales is a wonderful place to eat - the atmosphere, food, and staff are all much above average. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Mexican food!
