Gardel's es Maravilloso!. Our first review (we felt compelled). My wife is from Cajun Louisiana and I am from Argentina. We live in New York City. I don't say that for snobbery but more as a reference point on that we know good food. So we were in Baltimore and we went to Gardel's for Sunday Brunch because a random search showed they had Tango lessons & Brunch. First, the space is amazing and gorgeous. It's part of an old mansion structure sort of on the Fells Point borderlands. High ceilings, a big, hardwood dance floor (that even extends to the bar), funky glass vases, a crazy metal sculpture hanging from the ceiling, and a big photo of Gardel. . . just beautiful. We ordered Tres Leches French Toast (comes with plantains and coconut cream sauce) and Shrimp and Crab Eggs Benedict (english muffin topped with shrimp, crab cake, eggs and an orange hollandaise sauce) (which both come with roasted red pepper home fries) and bloody marys. It was all not only delicious, but surprising at the same time. We were going to be back in Baltimore at the end of the week so we made a plan to come for dinner as well. We had a Parrillada, Mahi Mahi over pesto linguini, empanadas and pineapple pear salad. The empanadas were authentic and had a little kick. The pesto was heavy on the cilantro, which made the dish as a whole lighter and impossible to stop eating. The parrillada was really good, not the best I've had, but still solid (remember, I'm Argentine). I would have ordered the Espresso Encrusted Filet of Beef )encrusted in onion, espresso, cayenne and paprika), but I needed to sleep. The salad was delicious. We were too full to order desert.

Basically, here is the deal. We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and the things we ate there. Do yourself the favor and go.
