I love Ruby Salon. Steve owner/stylist is amazing, and knows exactly what he is doing. I have very thick hair and a lot of salons have messed my hair up, Steve knows exactly what will work or not work. I will not go anywhere different!

Ruby's Salon. I moved to the Annapolis area from Northern VA about six years ago, and by word of mouth I heard of Ruby’s. I went to Ruby’s and Steve was the stylist I had and I could not have been more pleased. He listened to what I wanted done to my hair then he made suggestions about what would work best for my type of hair. He cut and colored my hair for several years and I was always pleased with the result. I was out of a job , and had to financially cut corners and went to another salon, and was never pleased with the outcome. Finally I made the decision to go back to Steve and am thrilled every time I leave. I couldn’t chose which Steve does best between cutting or coloring hair, but I would highly recommend Ruby’s to anyone who wants a stylish haircut, color or a trim. Mary

Amazing cuts and color. So I accidently happened upon some reviews here on CitySearch when I was trying to find Ruby's website. When I read the negative reviews I felt compelled to sign up to respond. Kelly has been my stylist for 4 years now. I went to all of the other high end salons in town and wasn't happy with any of them. I trust Kelly enough that when I walk in I let her figure out my cut and color with very little direction from me and I am always thrilled with the results. As for her attitude, Kelly is terrific. When she found out my wedding was the same weekend as a trip she had planned for her own birthday (when I asked if she could do my hair) she actually contemplated cancelling her own trip. I assured her that while that was very generous that I would feel guilty if she missed her trip. Anyways would HIGHLY recommend to anyone.

DO NOT TRUST KELLY-OWNER/STYLIST at RUBY. Kelly butchered my hair. After having a consultation about cut and color, she did the worst job anyone has ever done on both. Then, when I attempted to explain my concerns to her, she was very rude and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would NOT trust her to cut or color my hair or even my dogs hair! I would not return there if someone offered ME money to get my hair done there. NO THANKS.

Love it!. I don't know what the negative reviewer is talking about either?! Kelly and Steve are great. Both my daughter and I both go to Ruby's and we've always felt good about the cut. Also, they have always sincerely asked how we liked our cut and furthermore...offered to answer any questions or address any issues that might crop up later! Don't think twice about Ruby's!

Best Cuts & colors ever!. I don't know what that other reviewer is talking about, I have been a client of Steve & Kelly Fisher for 15+ years. My whole family, my kids,and most of my closest friends are clients of Ruby. My friends are professionals, stylish and chic. I get compliments on my hair all the time, whether it be for the cut or the color. Ruby would be the first and only place I would ever recommend! You WILL feel beautiful & have made some new friends too!

Please think TWICE before trying this place.... Wouldn't it be a woman's dream if you can get a good haircut for $65? Unfortunately, that dream for me was rudely awakened by the awful cuts given to me by the owners/stylists @ Ruby's. So, here is what you should be thinking before trying them out. If you want to come out of a salon, knowing that your hair is shorter and feeling that your hair is lighter, then Ruby's is for you. But, if you want to come out of a salon, knowing that your hair looks awesome/stylish and feeling great as a result, do not walk through the doors of Ruby's. Being naive, I walked through Ruby's doors with an expectation of looking and feeling great and walked out of Ruby's doors, frantically looking for a brownbag to put over my head. I went to work the next day and people actually recommended me to their hair stylists so that my hair could be fixed. Every morning, I spend more time on my hair than ever before just to make it look half way decent. Bottom line...these people can't style hair and don't seem to understand the concept of layering. Again, please think TWICE before trying this place.
