Service marginal; Expensive to use

In June of 08 we had Wuerstlin come to fix our ASKO dishwasher. They did not find the simple hose problem the first time and charged $180.00 for first visit including labor. Then came a second time and found the problem, charged$48.25 for part and $140.00 for labor...outrageous. Thinking they were the only business in this area to fix ASKO appiances in this area
we called around 1st of Feb.2010 and were promised a call back by technican. To date no response. To any consumer, please do not use this company
- Pros: None
- Cons: Service very bad and they gouge consumers in pricing
A very professional appliance service center!

We have had two occasions to use Wuerstlin's Appliance on our expensive Dacor convection oven.
Both service call requests were handled promptly and completed on the first call.
My most sincere thanks - especially to Don who came to our home to perform this work.
Wishing you continued success!
- Pros: Prompt, courteous and professional
- Cons: None!
great work, fair prices

BigBob2236 doesn't mention that if he can afford a Bosch dishwasher he can afford to fix it; it's like saying " I own a Mercades but can't afford to fix it". Also, has anyone stopped to consider the recent cost of gas? BigBob also doesn't mention how far away from Wuerstlin's Appliance he lives--many companies have driving radii and have rates according to those.
$140 for a service call to do NOTHING is not acceptable!

Our Bosch dishwasher was not draining. We called Wuesterlin's to come take a look. They took less than two minutes to identify a clogged filter next to the water faucet and then charged our financially struggling family $120 for a service call plus $20 for labor. Moreover, they did not tell us about this outrageous amount ahead of time. (I mean what's the difference between a service fee and a labor fee for two minutes worth of work.) We will not ever call them again and do not recommend them. At a minimum, have them charge a more customary $80 service fee and only charge a labor fee if they do more than an hour's worth of work. I suppose we would have had to take our children out of college or declare bankruptcy if there had been a real problem.
- Pros: They guy was nice.
- Cons: Outrageously expensive and they never gave us a price quote ahead of time.
