The best sheet music store around. I love going to Musicland because of the tremendous amount of sheet music right there in the store and the friendly atmosphere. The real thing - a music store as in the old times, with knowlegeable manager. Highly recommended.

Made my last trip to Musicland today. Everything negative that you have read about the manager's attitude is correct. It does seem as though he goes out of his way to alienate people. Despite a very peaceful conversation that I had with him not long ago regarding his brashness he still persists in conducting himself in a way that really turns people off.

This attitude seems to have spread to all of the employees who seem to be under his influence. Many times they act as though they are afraid to be polite, especially when he is around.

Given this culture individuals (especially those with children) should consider going to a nearby chain store for rentals, to receive lessons, etc. as they are much friendlier and more knowledgeable.

Music and more for the media hungry mall-goer, not for the seasoned audiophile.. The Scene
The latest Top 40 album is surprisingly audible over wily mallrats crowding the narrow aisles. Every inch of the store is packed with products, ranging from CDs and books to toys and novelty items. Beyond the bustle, the store is clean and locating products is intuitive.

The Goods
Chart-topping CDs and DVDs are in stock and highly visible. Cost is average for a retail mall music store, though the most popular items never seem to be marked down. Don't expect to find those rare titles you've been searching for--the selection here consists mainly of the Garth Brooks and P. Diddys of pop music. The DVD selection is dotted with hits from recent years and cult classics, but for serious movie collectors, Sam Goody is a Plan B type of store. Video game junkies will appreciate a few good deals here and there.
