After 2 trips ea., boys obvious not straight nape line!. We have always gotten our 2 boys (4 yr old & 6 yr old) hair cut at Cartoon Cuts in White Marsh mall and have never had a single bad cut. We thought we'd try local. What a bad decision! My two boys sit still, content to watch tv (they have at Cartoon Cuts, too), and they respond to hairdressers directions. My first son got down from the chair, simple straight across razor cut nape neckline, the usual... he walks away & his nape line is an angle! I call him back to the chair, she fixes, amid mumbled excuses - NOT apologies. Second son goes up in the chair - SAME thing happens! We're not talking small angles, either! Very obvious, VERY lopsided, especially on a young boy who has a small neck to begin with. Up again, now she says that the kids have to look down in order for the line to be cut... Um, my 6 year-old was PERFECT. And, isn't her job cutting CHILDREN'S hair? You know what? We're home now, and I noticed the 6 yr old's is still off...

The kicker? The Manager, Mindy, is the one who cut their hair!!! No apologies, no discounts... I should have refused to sign, but I'm not sure legally how that all works.

Anyone know how long it takes boys hair to grow out,because I have two children in dire need of some hair back on their necks...

Filthy and cramped. We took our 5 yr old there on a recommendation and were very disappointed. Half of the store is for kids hair cuts and the other side is for kids clothes. I found the salon to be dirty and drab and the other side cramped and dangerous. My daughter tripped twice on things because there was little room to maneuver. There is also a small section with toys etc to keep kids busy while they wait and while I didn't look at them my husband said the toys were all dirty and gross. We left searching for hand sanitizer.

On the plus side, Erika gave my daughter a great cut and she was very nice and patient. Unfortunately we won't be returning. I think I found a new place in Whitemarsh called Cartooncuts that we will try next.
