Acceptable Food, Poor Delivery Service.
The food was supposed to be delivered at 7:30. At 7:45 I called to ask where it was. When it finally arrived it was still warm and we opened it ready for a wonderful meal. But who's dinner was this? Not ours! Back on the phone we established that the wrong meal had been delivered. The restaurant promised to find ours and have it delivered. Eventually it arrived, although no longer hot. It had been opened, the staple removed from the once closed bag. The delivery man didn't speak enough English to communicate if other customers had opened our food or not. We decided to take the risk since we were starving. But where were the rice cakes listed on the menu? We had food for four and rice for two. Another phone call established that the restaurant wasn't going to help fix another error. We could get extra rice the next time we ordered a meal. By this time I knew that wasn't likely to happen. When we finally ate the reheated Chinese food it was good. The shrimp toast was excellent. Fried crab meat and cream cheese wantons don't taste great when reheated in a microwave. The Szechuan Chicken was good. The Subgum Wor Bar was incomplete, lacked the delicious gravy and created no sizzling display over the absent rice cakes. My advice is to eat at the restaurant, don't have your food delivered! As the restaurant manager said, everybody makes mistakes, but I think that a restaurant should try to fix their errors. I live a mile from the restaurant. They could have sent us a new, hot, unopened, complete meal if they were serious about providing good service.
