old.
The last time I was in Bare Bones was a few years ago but it was the best bbq I have had that I can remember. The bar and the bartender were outstanding and I wish I could thank her for a great time and tell her that I will never forget a moment. Thankyou - Eric Michielutti

A family-friendly, suburban brewpub with seriously good barbecue..
The Scene
Some barbecue joints are in the boonies, others in the heart of urban squalor. This one is in a nice suburban strip mall. Art deco lamps give the place a classy look, while wood trim and simple framed prints keep it down to earth. A glass-paneled door separates the smoking-allowed bar area, which also has tables, from the two dining rooms and the families that eat there. Service is fast and friendly, and kids get their own crayons and menus.
The Food
Though the menu includes steaks, shrimp and crab cakes, barbecue is best-known here, and rightly so. Pork ribs are fatty and tender, slathered in a gooey sweet-tart barbecue sauce, and the chicken, coated in the same sauce, is wonderfully juicy. Main dishes come with two sides, including sweet, oniony butter beans and creamy, caraway-flecked cole slaw. The "special salad," iceberg with grilled chicken, bacon bits, cheese and tomato, isn't particularly special, but desserts, including a crumbly apple tart served warm, are.
