Excellent cut, friendly atmosphere, tad pricey. I recently moved into the area & needed to find a stylist who cut very well. I have Asian hair, which is straight, thick, & easily dry, so my hair is unforgiving of bad cuts. I called Symmetry after reading online reviews & asked for a stylist up to the task. The person on the phone was friendly & recommended 2 stylists. Each stylist charged diff. fees, starting at $45 for a cut/style. Since I'm a recent graduate w/ a skimpy bank acct, I opted for the stylist w/ a lower fee.

The salon was pretty sedate-looking from the outside, but inside it's quite nice. They had cookies & coffee out for folks to try. The facilities were very clean & I was greeted immediately upon arrival. All staff had really nice looking hair, which might inspire customers. I'm pretty low maintanence w/ my hair, so I just admired other people's courageous style.

I arrived early for my appt & prepared to wait, trying not to indulge in cookies. Lucky for me, my stylist -- Katie, was ready ahead of schedule & came to greet me. She spoke w/ me first, taking a look at my hair while it was still dry. She listened to what I had in mind & checked in w/ me about her ideas. Then, I was off to have my hair washed. Because I've been at salons where my head was massaged during the wash, I considered the wash average, not much massaging for me that day. Then, I returned to Katie to begin my cut.

Verdict: I love my haircut. It's exactly what I asked for -- it's the right length, it's easy to manage which is important because I'm lazy, it frames my face flatteringly, & my hair feels healthier after the pampering. My husband approved the instant he saw me, when I got home.

I noted only 2 weaknesses, besides the average wash, all of which other folks might ignore. First, hair was cut over my head so the cut hair fell on my face & during blowdrying my stylist scraped my scalp a number of times w/ her fingernails. Second, the price is a bit higher than I'm used to. Overall, though, great cut!

Worst Haircut and Color Ever. If you value your hair - do not visit this salon. My haircut and color were so bad they fixed it for free but it was so bad the first time I already have ridiculous roots after 2 weeks and missing a chunk of hair in the front. Their prices are cheap - and this is the reason why. Never again will I visit a salon for the price - beware!

A great experience!. I went to Symmetry because I was looking for a new hair salon in the area. The staff were friendly and efficient. I received a goodies bag for being a new customer; the first I have ever received from any salon. It was busy on a Friday night, but it wasn't the normal frenzy you see at salons that overbook and make clients wait. Ann highlighted and cut my hair to my exact specifications; she understood "subtle" highlights. She was very nice, but she didn't pester me with useless comments and conversations. I respected her more for that. Additionally, she took time to get all my information for future visits... plus I received an e-mail from Symmetry the next day thanking me for their business. It is worth every penny.

Great haircut and color with Karen C. I went to Symmetry last week for a highlight/lowlight and cut with Karen C. She did EXACTLY what I wanted her to do!! My hair color and cut is GREAT and I would highly recommend her. The pricing was pretty standard for this area and well worth the cost!
