Excellent electronics help!. I want to say a big Thank You to Dee, at Certified Electronics. Because of her suggestion, I got a $900 credit from Mitsubishi, to The Big Screen Store. My 52" DLP television 'died', and I called Certified Electronics asking about service. The TV is 5+ years old, and no longer under warranty. Dee recommended I call Mitsubishi anyway, because they are known to have great customer service, and maybe they would issue me a credit<?> Wow, was I pleasantly surprised when they offered me a $900 credit toward a new TV. Thank you Dee for taking the time on the phone, to discuss all of my options, and for your excellent customer care. I highly recommend Certified Electronics!
Best & Most Honest TV service in Metro area.. I have used Certified Electronics on two different occasions. The first time was several years ago when they came out to my house and repaired a TV-VCR-CD combo. They had to order a part told me that they would return in 7 days and true to their word showed up on time and repaired my TV. The second time that I called them was for a rear projection screen Sony HD TV. The owner of the company showed up on time diagnosed the problem and told me that he would call me because he wanted to check the prices of the parts. He call that evening and recommended that I scrap the TV and purchase a new one because repairing it would be close to the price of a new HD TV. Not only did he lose business by not repairing my set but recommended which brands and types of HD TV's were the best. After I bought a new HD TV I called and thanked them. The owner and his employees are knowledgeable, pleasant and I would use their services anytime.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CERTIFIED ELECTRONICS..
Good quality service. I had recently contacted this company for a TV repair. All of my information was taken over the phone and I was able to schedule a service call for within the same week. When I had explained to the technician what my TV was doing, he gave me a preliminary diagnosis the day that I had called along with an estimate of what it may cost to repair it. The day of the appointment, the technician arrived on time and was able to fix the problem the same day. What he had initially told me by phone as to what the cause may be, turned out to be correct. I felt that the technician was very knowledgeable and seemed to really take his time with fixing the problem and doing necessary adjustments to ensure that my TV will operate at peak performance. After completing the repair, he even stuck around for a short time just to talk a little bit. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with this company and will definitely contact them again if needed.

My wife and I were delighted with the service we received in Ellicott City. The people were pleasant, proffessional and very efficient. Our old phonograph was serviced very well and it's doing great. Also, the fee was quite reasonable. We highly recommend them at Certified Electronic.

The worst company ever, not reliable and awful service!. It has taken this company over 2 weeks just to schedule an appoinment. I have never dealt with worse service, I highly DO NOT recoommend this business.
Miserable Experience - How do they stay in business?.
Spoke with them on one occasion about a warranty repair to a plasma television. They were the only manufacturers authorized repair center for my area. They indicated they would order parts and schedule the repair "within a few days".
After 2 weeks they have not called and will not return my calls. Unbelievable. I'll drive the plasma to another repair center rather than wait for these clowns. How do they stay in business operating like this? i could have had my plasma fixed a week ago rather than waiting on these guys.
Outstanding service. I had a toshiba with a faulty light engine, and toshiba said it was out of warranty and gave me the phone number for certified electronics. I called and left a message. Don promptly returned my call and sent a tech out within a week to diagnose the problem. The tech was freindly and honest. Said he thought it might be covered under an exteded warranty. He called toshiba the next day, got the ok for toshiba to pay for repairs. They ordered the part and were back out with a week to install. The tech was there on time, was super friendly and did the job in about a half hour. I didn't have to pay a thing since they got Toshiba to cover it. Tv works like new. Could not be more satisfied. I definitley recommend certified electronics.
Not Reliable. We had an appointment for a Television repair on 02/13. The tech calls after he is a half hour late and states that he got hung up on a previous appointment and could not make our appointment. Our set has been broken for 11 days and this was their FIRST available appointment. We say, well, we'll see you tomorrow. The tech says that he has to check his schedule at the shop that evening and call us back. NO call back that evening. We call the next morning; expecting to be on the top of the list for that day... no call back at all that day! My recommendation? STAY AWAY from this outfit!
Horrible experience. I was referred to them by Philips to have my TV fixed, I called them in mid Oct. They put me off for 6 weeks and then the day before my warrant is up, they called to tell me that I was too far away to make the house call. I looked it up on mapquest - 29.5 miles to my house.
