Great selection of Draft Beer. Went in to see on a friday nite. Good local crowd who knew eachother. The bar tender was very friendly and helpful with the beer selection. They had on two souther tier drafts that were very good and different from most bars. The bartender suggested the potato soup and it was terrific and the corn and bean salsa with fritos was very good and memorable. We will go again. 2-27-09 This is a great casual place to get a cold beer and a snack while down town Ellicott City.

Quiet in the court... Yeah, bro, we had the same type of experience. The food wasn't good even for bar food. Plus, the music was so loud I couldn't hear my girlfriend talk about anything. I had never been to the place before but sure won't be going back for dinner. Maybe a drink would be good, but I think I'd rather go to the city. Anyway, the zuchinni sticks were cold and soggy and the Burger I had was very well done. My girlfriend had the a vegetable wrap and it was o.k. I guess it's pretty hard to screw up a vegetable wrap. The staff was cool. They didn't get too upset about the food getting to the table a little late.

The Judge's Bench is Out Of Order. The Judge's Bench may seem to be a quaint little neighborhood place but once inside get ready for a large dissappointment. We had the unexpected experience of having food that was one step up from the jailhouse descriptins that appear on the menu. As a matter of fact, the cook would not last a minute in the kitchen of a real lock up facility. Plus, the help is a little less cordial than a man just sentenced. On top of that, the menu is rather distasteful with a chicken dish on it called "The Blackguard." I find this very politically incorrect and uncaled for. I would walk a green mile before I had to eat in this place again. No your honor, not The Judge's Bench.
