Find somewhere else to buy your vehicle. Very unprofessional. Salesmen are too busy smoking cigarettes at the front door of the dealership. I was seated by the front disk at one of their round table inside to be helped. 20 min later I was asked by a salesperson to find another place to sit at. When I politely informed him that I was seated by their front disk person for help, he raised his voice and in a rude unprofessional manner he asked me to move on. I got out and never came back. not recommended

Does a bear c**p in the woods?!

by NOYB Understand at Citysearch

All dealers are slimeballs when it comes to negotiating a car purchase, it just depends to what degree. We used a car buying service through ZAG dot com, which I highly recommend as a great site to calculate a deal. Consumer Reports uses them as their car buying service for subscribers. Apple gave me the best quote, granted. But they tried to rip me on charges for tags, title, etc., which were ~ $150 above what they should have been. It's illegal in Maryland to charge for a profit above the actual state fees, but they did it anyway. The dealership owner probably greases politicians' campaign coffers to get away with it. They also tried to charge sales taxes on the delivery and documentation fees, which is also in violation of state law. Tax is only charged on the final sales price of the physical product; that is what I was told 3 times by the state DMV. Delivery and doc fees are services. So they have been suckering thousands of unsuspecting buyers, no doubt. All I can do is refuse to pay them, which I did, and report them to the Attorney Gen and inform consumers like you. I got almost all of my demands in the end, except for the doc fee. The doc fee is an industry collusion (collusion is illegal) of which buyer payment is not mandated by law. Next time I will kill any deal if that fee isn't removed.

Watch out!

n my opinion, find somewhere else to go! In my case, while the car was in for repairs

they broke the key off in the ignition. If Apple had an ethical and responsible repair shop they

would have simply repaired the damage they caused. This what Apple did. In the body of a 3

page repair bill, under an item labelled 107580, they reported they had broken the key off inside

the ignition. Shame on me, I didn't actually read the repair bill word for word. Of course, no one verbally

informed me of the damage at the time I picked up the car. In our the case, unfortunately, the damaged key

would still start the car. We only realize the damage days later when a duplicate key wouldn't start the car.

When I called them they simply refused to fix the damage claiming 1) they had "informed" us of the damage

when we picked up the car and 2) the key was just "weak" and simply broke (never in my life has a key ever "just broke"

unless forced). Long story short, if they are this creative in refusing to fix damage they caused, imagine how

creative they can be when billing you for a complex repair.

AVOID APPLE FORD AT ALL COSTS

by 09fxdc at Citysearch

Purchased a new 2010 F-150 Lariat, which Apple Ford obtained from another dealership. While waxing the truck at home, found pre-existing damage to the roof of the truck. Damage consisted of chipped paint to the metal and rust spots. Unfortunately, the damage was not viewable at purchase due to it being located on the roof. Took the truck to a body shop they recommended for appraisal, thinking they would have it repaired. Apple Ford accepted no responsibility and then refused to have the repairs made. I contacted both corporate Ford and Apple Ford's president, to no avail. Sent the president a detailed overnight letter with pictures, but he has thus far refused to acknowledge the letter or contact me. I have made nunerous calls to his office and left multiple voicemails, which he continues to ignore. This dealership obviously cares about making the sale, but then completely disregards any issues following the sale.

  • Pros: absolutely none
  • Cons: No regard for the customer after the deal has been made

Terrible Dealership

by Scuba02 at Citysearch

I bought an used F-250 Pickup from Apple Ford in Dec. 2009. On the drive home the ABS light came on. So I called the dealership and got an appointment to bring the truck in to get it fixed 3 days later. I get in the truck to take it to the appointment and it won't start. I call the dealership and they come and tow the truck to be serviced. they had to replace an alternator. I go and pick the truck up 2 the following day and I am no more then 10 miles from the dealership when the ABS light comes on AGAIN! I call and leave voicemails for both the salesman that sold me the truck and the Used Car Manager multiple times and never get a call back. I call and to make and appointment to get the truck fixed and this time am able to drive it down there. They give me a car to go run some errands with NO gas in it! I am stuck with that car till the next day so I had to pay for gas in it. Needless to say after 3 trips to the Service Center they finally got it right, and the only person that ever returned any of my calls or called me back was the person servicing the vehicle. I would never buy a vehicle from them again.
