Love this place. I eat lunch or dinner here 3-4 times per week. The manager is a character and a great friend once you get to know him. I love the pizza, the spaghetti and the lunch specials. I especially love the salad. Highly recommended.

Best pizza in Columbia. I have been eating lunch at this place at least once a week for almost seven years. The pizza is the best in the area (I am from NJ and consider myself a pizza snob) but the daily lunch specials really are special; I particularly like the veal cardinale. The service is fantastic as well. Highly recomended!

Great Pizza and More!. Great New York Style Pizza - this place is a hidden gem! In addition, they have a full menu of great pasta dishes. Run by Italians - it shows. One of the best places for cheap italian food in Columbia!

Great Pizza, Customer Service Needs Improvement. The food at this place deserves four or five stars. The pizza was quite good! The crust was thin, the toppings were generous, and the pizza came piping hot. However, the manager's behavior made me give this place three stars.

When it was time to leave, the person running the counter placed the remaining half of the pizza neatly in a box. But the manager (or owner?) broke our pizza apart and shoved the slices on top of the plates and bag that was rejected by the last customer. Apparently, the previous customer complained when the manager stuffed her leftover pizza in a bag with two paper plates stacked on top of the other, and asked for a box instead. The manager scolded the person running the counter for giving us a box. Instead of throwing the paper bag and paper plates away, the manager used those same plates and bag for OUR pizza. I'm not sure if that will pass health standards. I'm all for keeping the cost down, but isn't there a better way to economically pack leftover pizza? Other places will at least cover the pizza with a foil before packing them. I'm shocked at the service here.

The service is great and the people there are so chill and cool...

The food is authentic Italian cuisine and is the best resturaunt around!

User review by trayvon. I have been to this restaurant several time before and had a pleasant experience every time until today. I placed an order for a chicken parmesan sub for pick up not knowing that they have another trattoria a couple miles away. The man at the counter told me I had ordered at their other place and that I would have to drive to their other restaurant if I wanted my food because the cook didn't feel like making the order at this location since it was already ordered at another restaurant. Even though I was going to wait there for my food, they still would not serve me and everyone working there was just standing around doing nothing. They have good prices but it's not worth the attitude you have to put up with. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

far better than little italy. I first ate at the King's Contrivance location and enjoyed the excellent culinary skills of Enrico and the rest of the staff. The Dorsey's Search location gives those of us on the north and east side of Howard county an opportunity to enjoy delicious Italian food. This is a true trattoria, wonderful food at reasonable prices. Actually, the food here is that of skillfully prepared home Italian cooking, far surpassing the cooking of even Baltimore's better Italian restaurants. The bruschetta, stuffed with tomatoes, cheese and herbs is a wonderful way to start the meal. The pasta dishes are excellent whether using red or white sauces. I once had a daily special, the veal with aurora suace, which combines skillful use ot tomatoes with elements of a cream sauce. The result surpassed even the best of Baltimore's Little Italy. Please go there and check it out for yourself. This place rules.
