awesome place!. This place is great because they offer friendly service and the owner is the sushi chef. his wife is the waitress and his nephew is the waiter on busier nights. I dont know who they have in the main kitchen, but the teriyaki is awesome! KNOWN throughout by the locals as THE place to go for extremely FRESH inexpensive sushi. he creates most of the items himself and he has excellent taste. Ive been there numerous times by my self and I've always had great service. SPICY rolls are magnificent BUT YOU MUST TRY THE OYSTER SHOOTER>

Best sushi in the area. Tokyo Sushi is a small restaurant in a strip mall, a few doors down from a well-known-chain Japanese steakhouse. Don't let the unassuming location fool you. The quality of sushi here is superb - much higher than that at the aforementioned steakhouse.

I enjoy ordering individual nigiri most of all. The fish is fresh, and you can get quality white tuna and flounder. The rolls are also very good. My wife is a roll fan and she especially enjoys the California and shrimp tempura rolls. I personally favor the spicy tuna roll.

My wife and I love sushi. We've sampled sushi at many places in the San Francisco area, as well as in DC and Baltimore. We think that Tokyo Sushi definitely holds up in comparison.

One flaw would be that the service can be slow when they're busy. (They don't seem to have a large staff.) Most nights there are only a few tables occupied, so this hasn't been a big deal.

The price here is very nice, compared with other sushi places around. My wife and I can fill up on sushi for the same price as going to a casual dining restaurant.

Give Tokyo Sushi a try, and you'll realize there's no need to take the time and trouble to head into Baltimore or DC for good sushi.

One of my favorites!. We love Tokyo Sushi! I am a huge sushi fan and am always open to new places. Tokyo Sushi always has great service and their food is fantastic. Every time we get a night without the kids around, this is the first stop of the evening. The weekend evenings can be a little busy but I don't think we've ever had to wait. Everyone is always very pleasant and the dragon rolls are out of this world!

Good variety, moderate prices, good service. We've been to Tokyo Sushi several times over the past two years. While it may not be quite as good as Sakura - a few doors over - the prices are a bit more moderate and you have a larger variety. We've tired of Japanese restaurants which only offer Teppan seating or Sushi bar. Some like sushi, some like boxes. And the service has been very good every time we've gone - occasionally slows down when very busy but always very friendly. Not sure what happened to the 8/10/07 reviewer!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. I frequent sushi restaurants in Maryland and Virginia because Japanese food is one of my favorite. I have never had worst customer serivce than at Tokyo Sushi. We didn't order that much food because we had a late lunch and just wanted some light sushi for a dinner snack. I guess the female owner wasn't too happy with our order and basically was completely rude and ignore us the entire night. I will never go to this restaurant again! The sushi isn't really anything special, they just have good combination prices. I would recommend the Sakira Japanese Habachi restaurant that is a couple doors down. The best sushi I had is at Joss's Cafe in Annapolis.

Freshest Sushi. We have been going to Tokyo Sushi since it opened years ago, and quality of food and service remains fabulous. Hands down the BEST spicey tuna!!

outstanding!!!. This is a excellent sushi house , just because it is not in downtown Baltimore does not mean it is not good . The restuarant has a good atmosphere and easy access. SUPERB!!

Underrated. You have this restaurant underrated. The food is extremely fresh. The sushi is as good as you get in Japan. The owner has several items that he created. Extremely good food.

super!. This is a super place to eat. It's authetic Japanese with great sercice and you get your food quickly. The sushi is very fresh. We are regulars here it is so good!!! They have great lunch specials too!
