Brewster's - Best Burgers Ever.
Brewster's has been around for a long time and I've only recently heard that it's closed down. I haven't confirmed, but that's the word I've gotten...
...hearing that news disappointing to say the least.
You walk in the door and the lighting was dim. Okay, dim is an understatement. It was dark! But you got used to it and it felt like a secret place.
At lunch time the televisions might be turned to a show about cops and stupid drunk people.. or maybe the Young and the Restless if someone forgot to change the channel. But the beers were always cold. The mixed drinks always poured generously. It wasn't a place you went to dash in and out. It was a place for sharing a drink, or a burger (or a supposedly fantastic crab cake) while bitching about work, the relationships you were in, or just hanging out in general.
And the best burgers you could ever have were found in Brewsters.. in fact, all others eaten were rated on that condition. "Better than a Brewster's?" The answer has, to this day, been hell no.
Everywhere you looked there were $1 bills stapled to the walls with people's signatures or messages of "Hello". It was charming. It's full of memories. Mine and others.
Pool tables usually worked, but when they didn't, the staff would just yank the sides off and let you pay up on the honor system.
The chalk drawings on the spare bar board were always wicked.
The staff was never rude to me and the more often you went, the more friendly they got (and I don't mean overly friendly).
If this place has closed... it's a sad day for me.

tweetygirl's opinion. This is a friendly, relaxed easy going atmosphere, nice place to hang out and chill, staff is friendly and polite

Brewster's Saloon. Horrified is the term I would use to describe the way I felt in this bar. I like a place where you can enjoy yourself and have a good ttime. The women behind the bar where unfriendly and the men where too friendly, if you know what I mean. The foodl I had there was surprising good. Overall the experience left something to be desired.

User review by yesker. this bar has great food!!! good drink prices. good food and drink specials almost every day. AWESOME CRABCAKES!!! the crowd has a mixture of people, it's not just a biker bar!!!
