Best Dog ever!.
Purchased our cock-a-poo five years ago..been the best dog ever. smart...loving....he does love teenager boys ankles...but that is just fine with my husband.
Just take your time picking out your pet...take them to the puppy room...give him a chance with your family in the puppy room.Place isn't spotless, but get your puppy early on..when they first come in.Sorry about the other sick dogs...but...we love Heap and would purchase another one there if we have too. Have a nice day!
They need to be shut down!!!!!!. I feel so bad for the animals in this place called pets galore. They should be called PETS NO MORE. Every time I go into this place I'm hoping that new and better people are working there. There is a older nasty lady that works there she reminds me of CruElla de vil. She never smiles and she is just nasty. I wish new people would buy the place and get the bad people out!!!! But I got my Dashound there and they said he was a miniature. And 3 years later he is weirdly long and is about 17 pounds. Also the dogs always look sick and sad. But I'm glad I got to give my dog that I bought from this place a good loving home!
Don't buy a puppy from this place.. I just recieved my dna results for a puppy I pruchased from this place today. I was told by Pets Galore that my puppy was a Boxer/Lab mix. They even wrote this on the contract I signed in the store. Then I had some friends say, No way my puppy was a boxer/lab mix. They all said he is a pit bull. So I decided to spend the $60 and get a dna test done by Wisdom Panel. I got the dna kit, toke my dog to my vet and had the vet complete the kit and mail off the test to Wisdom Panel. I got the results back today. My dog is 75% pit bull and 25% other breeds. Only 4% is a boxer and 0% is lab. If you bought a box/lab some time around Dec 2011 from this place, I want to let you know that is not what you have. If you would like to see the dna results I had done feel free to contact me at sinclair.realty at gmail
Got My Happy Healthy Jug Puppy From There!. So about a month ago we wee looking for a new puppy. In alll the selters there wasn't one small enough for us! so i did research and found this place. i came on this website and read the reviews and beleive me you guys almost scared me out of it! but my grandfather said lets just go and look! and well we did....but i fell in love with my baby boy named Spanky. He's almost 3 months old! now i will admit some of there dogs looked sick! but if you know what to look for then im sure you will pick a happy and healthy puppy like we did! My healthy Jug puppy spanky hs been apart of this family for almost 4 weeks and we love him! =]]
you guys suck. I brought a rabbit 3 weeks ago and i did no like how he was when he came home. he was drug up and sicken. i was so heartbroken and i was ready to sue them and it was horrible service. even when i called back to complain they gave me some stupid lazy excuse. i saved my poor little truffles because before he was super skinny and and not eating or drinking and know he like 3 lbs and he was only 1 when i got him. he is healthy and happy and i hate the pet galore and i wish some animal agency would close they down and give the pets to store that wont drug they up.
Sold me 2 very sick dogs. I bought a golden retriever from Pets Galore and payd alot of money for Buddie. It was my first dog since ive been a child and i am a grandmom now. Buddie was a wonderful dog. he was my baby. i loved him so much. when he was around a year old he started to have siezers, well it never stops . I went as far as taking him to do vets in pa. spent 1000's of dallor. snd in the end they told me the same thing.. he was more then liokely a puppie mill puppy. and hes going to pass in a siezer. well he did. My whole world fell apart it was like losing someone. but before he died i went back to Pets Galore and I told them what happen and they told me that they have new owners. and that the old owners got there dogs from the puppiy mills. before i left i walked out with another golden. BIG MISTAKE...... My other golden which i named Buddy 2 Started having seizer. Dont trust puppy stores
DISGUSTING FILTHY PLACE!!!!. I recently visited Pets Galore with my husband on June 7, 2009. When I came in I had no intention of getting a puppy but we ended walking out with one or rather SAVING one I should say. The place place smelled disgusting and the first part that I thought was interesting, they claim "they never put there pets behind glass" and that is one of the first things I saw 2 little Yorke's in what appeared to be in a bunny tank! Now begins my story. As I was looking at all the puppies they were all sickly looking it broke me heart, its as if each and ever single one of them wanted to be taken home and if I had a farm I would have taken them all. After browsing we found an adorable little of Rottweiler puppies. We ended up selecting a sweet little male from the bunch whom we now call "Brody" and he is an absolute joy for my family. Here's where the bad part begins. Upon bringing him home we noticed he had a little cough, which we chalked up to being nerves and we would have checked out at his well puppy appointment. Well not even 2 days later the coughing had gotten worse and his breathing was so shallow,k at 4:30am on Monday morning my puppy staring coughing up RED STUFF (THEY WON'T LET ME PUBLISH THE REAL WORD ON THIS REVIEW), I immediately tried to contact the store owner which took about 2 hours to reach so you can already see her sleep in time is more important than the animals she so called "cares" for. When she finally called us back she almost convinced my husband to let them keep the dog for 10 and THEIR vet work on the dog. To me that was very suspicious and I did not trust it. Needless to say I said No I am not leaving my dog, the owner then told us to meet us at her store at 8:30am that day and needless to say she NEVER showed her fat ignorant manager was there instead. They tried to have us sign a BOGUS contract and we wouldn't. The manager got the owner on the phone and she said "Okay well we will take him to the vet and bring him back this afternoon" Now keep in mind my precious dog is losing it by the second. My husband said "we will go with you" The owner told us No and when we asked her why she said "the vet doesn't like customers" Now you tell me who the IN THE WORLD says that!? I ran out of that place and immediately rushed him to my own vet. My vet whom I love so greatly rushed him back to triage and the results brought me to my knees. My little 11 week old puppy had full blown pneumonia the worst the vet had ever seen. My vet told me if we had brought him in any later he would have died. I was hysterical to say the least. So now my 11 week old puppy is in the ICU area of the vets and will remain there for 5 days hooked up to IVS and Med pumps. We tell him everyday when we visit just how much we love him and I thank GOD EVERYDAY for letting us rescue him from this dirt hole. Our vet bill is outrageous and lucky for us we have the money, but could you imagine if we were less fortunate our dog would have died? DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Oh and on top of that no one from Pets Galore not even the piece of CRUD owner even called to see if he was okay. I have EVER single animal activist rights group on these people right now and I won't stop until they are shut down! Please Please do not buy from this PUPPY MILL!! I beg of you, find a reputable breeder and speak with them. I am concerned about all of these animals that lay in there own urine and feces at this place. And now I have to make sure my other pets do not get pneumonia from the baby because it is contagious. I hope you people go to hell for what you have done and thank GOD my Brody is not with you horrible nasty people anymore.P.S. I would rate this place with NO STARS if I could because they are disgusting and below unsatisfactory!!!
Used to work here. My brother and I used to work here at Pets Galore and to be totally honest with you I think thats when the place was cleaner and the animals were happier, you see we didnt work there just for a paycheck we worked there out of love for animals, my brother is a big time reptile lover and I absolutely love birds especially parrots, cockatoos and macaws, in fact I used to handfeed the babybirds we had. My brother worked his fulltime job as a forklift mechanic and in the evenings would work at Pets Galore, mostly because of his love for animals. I admit I don't know everything about birds but I do have a 39yr old parrot that I have had for 22yrs so I must know something. I wouldn't mind working there again, Its a good way to support my family and be happy with my work at the same time... Thanks
SICK DOGS, BAD SERVICE--do not go!!.
I started going to this store after my long time dog passed away. I liked it because all of the puppies were out and together and you could play with them easily without having to take them out of a cage. But after going a few times, I noticed the same thing as everyone else-this place is TERRIBLE. The older lady and guy that work there are what I'd consider to be "white trash" and they don't care about those dogs at all. Most of the dogs are sick or rolling around in their own waste and it's disgusting. We called animal control on them once because they had a dog in there, just running around-that BIT MY BOYFRIEND. what kind of place allows that? We tried to just look at a cock-a-poo with no price, and they poor young girl that worked there told us that it was from a puppy mill, and that it was a "free puppy" since they bought in "bulk"...only they wanted to charge us $350 for the "free dog" that looked too sick to go home.
Needless to say, I will never go back to that place--the conditions for the animals are terrible-they may be able to play together but they are all getting each other sick, the dogs are NOT cared for properly, the customer service is the worst and the place is just shady. I hope to god that someone has some common sense and shuts that place down...
DO NOT GO HERE.
I love the way they keep their puppies at Pets Galore in Glen Burnie, MD. I have been in many pet stores where depressed puppies are kept by themselves and in cages where nobody can touch them unless you look like you have money and a clerk will go get one for you. I have been to pet stores that try to be cute and put puppies in ridiculous bassinets treating them like babies but all that happens is that the puppies are sitting in their mess in these things. I bought my sheltie from Pets Galore because they don't use cages or puppy mills. They have these pens with soft pine on the floor and the puppies can eat together, play together and I can reach down and pet the puppies. These puppies are very friendly because they get lots of attention from everyone. I am sure that every single pet store and breeder sometimes get sick puppies but I get tired of all the negative stuff always showing up on these sites and decided to take the time to tell the other side.
