customer service not a strong point.. ehh. Met another couple there the on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a 16oz. beer, my girlfriend order a 12 oz. bottle beer. I noticed that the glass seemed a little small but didn't think much about it. The next beer came in the same glass as my girlfriends 12 oz beer and they were the same volume. I mentioned it to the bartender that they advertised 16oz drafts and she was serving 12oz beers jokingly... she told the manager that I complained about the size of the beer and as we were leaving the manager called us back. She had a measuring cup with 16oz of water in it and poured it into the same glass. It filled it to the top but held it. I told them it may hold 16oz. poured to the rim, but that's not how they're serving them. Then out of the carry out area an old guy says well if your going to complain about a couple ounces of beer, we don't need your business, have a nice life. ???? Well they he's right! He doesn't need my or my friends business. I have never seen such a low class circus act for managers. Spread the word... They don't need your business!
Good Seafood, Hit-or-Miss Service. I have eaten here four times over the past year and have always enjoyed the seafood. The portions are HUGE, and fresh. The seafood platter, (think it's called the Waterman or Fisherman's platter), is large enough to feed two people. The crabcakes are among the best I've had, (not as large as Timbuktu or G&M, but not as much filler, either). The biggest drawback at this place is the service. Twice, I have had middle-age women who were extremely slow, and not very attentive to our table. Both of my other visits, I have had one of the best waitresses I have ever had at any restaurant. (sorry I cant remember her name, but she was maybe thirty years old, with light, brown hair). Try eating here when it's not too busy. The food won't dissapoint!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Known for its seven ounce crab cakes, both locals and Maryland visitors flock to this bustling eatery.
Worst Service I have ever had anywhere.
We started with the cream of crab soup it was good, but no crackers, we asked twice ,but they never came. There was a salad and rolls to share, that came with the entree's. It showed up minutes before the food, with no bowls and no silverware. When the food arrived there were still no bowls, silverware. When the bowls, silverware showed up the food was getting cold. My wife had ask for sour cream for her potato, I had ask for tatar sauce. We were about half way through our meal when the sour cream arrived, still no tatar sauce. I would have complained to the hostess but she was busy getting a back rub from one of the patrons. I did however complain to the waitress and she responded
HONEY YOU OUGHT TO WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES. The food however was Very good.
YUCK !!!!!!!!!. Only go here for the seafood. We went and the steak had to be sent back for being over cooked and then again for being drowned in Worcestershire sauce. The staff was rude and seemed not to care.
Barf!. Overcooked, over-rated, over-priced. No idea how this place made on of the 10 best for 2003. Is this based on one visit? Nope! Based on the rating I returned after one disgusting meal (they had a bad day) to another equally bad if not worse meal. The only up in this upscale eatery will be your desire to upchuch your dinner after eating it.
