Poor Service. I planned on taking my family to G&M for Crabcakes because my son who is in the Army was being sent overseas. Because we had a large group we attemted to make reservations but they refused and recommend call ahead. We called ahead 1/2 hour before we needed to be there and were told the wait afdter we got there would be 1 hour. With three small children ib the party we knew that would be miserable so we asked for some accomodation. They told us to lump it. We decided to go to Gunnings instead. They immediatly took care of us we had great food and they treatted us like gold. Will never return to G&M and I highly recommend Gunnings.

Danger Will Robinson. You want to hire illegals, that's your biz, but it's always nice to at least make sure that they understand a couple of words of English like , bacteria, food born illness, sanitize and maybe even HACCP. I used to deliver to them and saw way more than I wanted. Hispanic washing lettuce in a triple sink with a bin of raw chicken sitting on the same drain board. Bins of crab meat, without any ice or lid, sitting on top of garbage cans that contained garbage, (they were making crab cakes out of those bins). Once saw lettuce guy make a wee wee in the floor drain of the sink where he was washing veggies. Went right back to work. Back door was usually wide open and flies were on everything.

This restaurant has gone way downhill--how sad!!. Crabcakes appeared/tasted to be a couple of days old and re-heated...not freshly made. Had quite a bit of filler--much different than a year ago!! Staff inattentive to customers and more attentive to each other. After dropping a tray of plates which shattered on a nearby diner, the individual who dropped the plates never bothered to ensure customer was ok...took other staff quite some time to respond...just not nice. Will not be returning.

Not Really the Best. These are considered the best crab cakes? Not in my book. The waitstaff was friendly but not attentive (had to ask for every refill... shouldn't we have had bread with our meal?). Although the Cream of Crab soup was superb, the crab cakes were NOT the greatest... relied too heavily on Old Bay seasoning and mustard which masked the flavor of the excellent quality of crab. I was NOT impressed. Very packed house, but not worth the wait.

The Worst Experience. The worst experince in dinning is one were you can't even get fed. We had to wait just a couple minutes to put a couple tables together for 5 of us, but that was the last we saw of any service. After some time we went to the bar to get our own drinks (sodas, water etc). Wait staff, hostesses, and even the manager passed us several times, but we were never even offered menus. When we finally finished our drinks we got up to leave and request a word with the manager. He proceeded to tell me about his staffing problems and other excuses that have nothing to do with us . We won't go back.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Locals gather at this bustling seafood restaurant for its hearty crab cakes and large portions.

Great pizza, bad seafood.. After finally getting the order, I was disappointed with the fish and shrimp. Both were obviously shipped-in frozen and cooked on-site. I had asked if the shrimp were freshly breaded there, and was told yes. They were not. The fish was square, possibly borrowed from McDonald's. I have gotten better seafood from the frozen aisle in the grocery store. The pizza was great though! Would go back for the pizza! Still searching for good seafood....

EAB. Every meal I've had has been great. If your looking for a great burger, their's is the best I've had. Crabcakes, Steaks, Sandwiches are all great. You get large portions and good food. My wife and I eat there often.

Decent crabcake. If you want fancy ... forget it. If you want field greens or ramaine salad with homemade dressing... forget it. If you came for the crabcake.. You came to the right place. Now its not fancy or spicy it's just plain lump crabmeat at a decent price which works for me period

It was not good...it was awful. We went to try their crab cakes..it was awful.

Everything was cheap and shubby.

Their salad looked like it came from a salad bag from a local super market, and so was salad dressing. It tasted like store bought dressing.

We ordered crabcake platters. Their crabcakes were not so great. It reminded me of McDonald's fileo fish. It was big and nice portion though, but there was nothing special about it.

The vegetable side dish looked like frozen vegetables and tasted like it too.

Overall, it was a bad experience. I just don't understand at all why people highly recommend this place. This is a below average restaurant and I would NOT go back.
