Amazing, Compassionate Vet. We've been using Dr. Chrest for at least 7 years, and we always thought she was amazing. But after having to go through the ordeal of putting one of our dogs down, I know there is no other vet we would have wanted by our side.

She -- and her staff - were so incredibly caring and thoughtful through the entire process. I'm sure they see it in their office every week. And yet you'd never know that it was "just the course" of doing business as a vet the way she cared for us.

On an ongoing basis, at every appointment, Dr. Chrest gets right down on the ground with the dogs, gives them lots of love and is so gentle. She really cares about them and cares about the owners too.

I've never met any vet like her. I saw one negative review here -- and I found it shocking. Of course you have to pay your vet bills! Anyway - I highly, highly recommend her to pet owners. She's the best!…

GREAT VET. I own a LARGE German Shepherd and Dr. Chrest always completes his exam (nail clipping and all) right in the waiting room. Buster would never go into the exam room because he gets anxiuos in small places and Dr. Chrest's concern over his anxiety level spells volumes about the level of care given by her practice. When Buster first starting going to the Animal Medical Clinic it took three adult women restraining him to get through his "mani-pedi" but after two pain free nail clippings he rolls over and barely notices Dr. Chrest. Excellent Vet--The Best. As a medical professional, with enormous responsibility for adult medicine, I know a person who is well informed, careful, and competent. This woman is outstanding, better than any vet we have ever had before. She is kind and has a wonderful way with animals.

I can only surmise that the woman who was offended because of hte way her cat was handled undertands cat behavior very poorly--and how to manage one is an art. It could be easily minsinterpreted if you did not know much. Similarly, re the other concern on here, if my cat was given a chance at life but it did not work, I certainly would not blame that on the vet. When you look in the mirror and you do not like the face you see, is it the mirror's fault? Or is that abstraciton too difficult for you to understand. People who are upset like to ascribe blame. In reality in all health care, you win some and you lose some.

This is a wonderful vet whose practice does not deserve that ungly slam from 2 reviewers and I urge the rest of you to discount it. I have been through enough with my animals and as a doctor, myself, know that this is a stellar vet. Do not hesitate tot ake your animals here unless you have delusions or do not understand animal care well enough to adjudicate qualitywhen it's there. excellent vet. Dr. Chrest was referred to me by word of mouth. The person whom referred me was in the process of moving (appx 35 miles from Timonium) & stated she would still be using Renee as her vet. I see why. She is extremely thorough and compassionate. She spent almost 90' with us during my dog's first visit. She always follows up on the phone between visits, offers late hours, and appointments 6 days/week. She has a genuine love for animals and is empathetic towards thier owners too. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone.…
