My husband and I went to Michael's last
night for dinner. After being seated we had to wait almost 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress, and the restaurant was not crowded. The draft beer my husband ordered was spilled on our table as it was delivered. It was also flat and had to be returned for a bottled beer.
It took our waitress almost 20 minutes to take our order after we were seated and we were never read the specials. Then my husband's dinner arrived with a giant hair in it. At this point we were ready to leave. We told the staff about the hair and asked for our check.
We were charged for our one beer, one glass of wine, my entree (which went untouched and remained on the table), and even $3 for the salad which came before and was included with my husband's entree. I was shocked by this.
It was unbelievably the worst restaurant experience we have ever encountered. I would never return to Michael's cafe.
Best crab cake around!!! Great menu with variety and staff was very friendly, Will return :). I had my first experience at Michael's last night and I was very impressed. Wedge salad was fresh and flavorful and the crab cake was the best, nice lumps of crabmeat with almost no filler. My husband had a ribeye that was also very good and he's a hard person to please! Our overall experience was very pleasent. We will return.
order was lost in the shuffle, dry snapper, good salsa but not enough and high price. Lunch on Sunday after church. I ordered the special, grilled shrimp and snapper with mango salsa. I was informed that my lunch was lost in the shuffle of a large party and had to wait a very long time for it. When it arrived, the snapper was dry. The mango salsa was very flavorful and fresh. However, there was just a small sprinkling of it. The shrimp were fine. The rice was too dry. At the price of $30.00, this dish came with no other accompaniments-no salad or vegetable. I was given two very cheap and cold rolls with tubs of butter. I would not recommend this restaurant for service or for fish at any price.
Best Place to Eat. If you live in timonium you already know this place has it hands down over anywhere else. With a menu full of variety, any choice is a great one because they cook your food to perfection. If you are visiting Baltimore it is well worth the drive 20 minutes north.
