Tips for Great Finds & Designs

Competition is better, getting your money for sales is slow.
In comparing prices and quality of the consignments, we found competitors have better value. GF&D prices the furniture in great condition unreasonably high. The consignments that show their age are priced as if they were in great condition. Other close by consignment stores offer better value.
We placed a consignment with GF&D which sold in April. They only generate checks at the end of each month, after a thirty day waiting period. This can cause an unreasonable wait if you happen to have a sale that occurs in the beginning of a month.
According to them, they generated a check May 31st and mailed it. Seven days later, we still had not received it. I had to go to the shop to pick up the check. After deducting 40% commission, they deducted another $2.50 for an unspecified reason. Entire transaction was not a good experience.
We'll go elsewhere to shop or consign in the future.

Best consignment store around.
The best consignment store I've ever been to. Over the years I have made so many purchases there that they are all over my house. We love going from room to room. My friends and I treat this as our favorite outing. My one friend also recently had a super experience bringing things in to sell.
