Smyth's went above and beyond. My fiance and I are middle class, jeans and sneakers people, and no one treated us badly (unlike at Radcliffe). Kim was our sales person and she was great. Very helpful and nice. We went back and got our wedding bands and even sold back some jewelry to pay for part of them. They are great with buying back gold, and the girl we worked with while selling back our jewelry was awesome as well, I wish I could remember her name. I would definitely recommend.

I would not recommend this jeweler. I took a watch to be repaired and was told "we dont work on costume jewelry" as the salesperson looked down her nose at me!!

The watch happened to be the last gift my parents gave me before my mother passed away. I was so hurt by this remark and the treatment I received; I never went back.

I can honestly say that the only good thing about Smyth Jewelers is their billboard advertising. What should have been a painless and happy experience, soon became stressful and irritating. They took special care in shopping for "themselves", and trying to convince me to move away from everything I wanted. While I stuck to my own personal choice, I was left feeling like I had to fight for it. The store is oversized, and too loud for any sort of intimate experience. I hope I never have to go there again. [11/2008]

They made my engagement unforgetable!!. I can't say enough wonderful things about this store and the people that work there!!! The ring is beautiful and they worked with my fiance for hours to make sure he had the best one for me. But that's not all... They sent him home with a care package of some cute things to help plan our wedding, jewelry cleaner, and some other fun stuff. And they played a really big role in making the proposal, story-book, and totally unforgettable. I won't go into details because I don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone else. But I would recommend them to everyone!!!!

Great Place to Buy Wedding Rings. The folks at Smyth are simply awesome! My wife and I worked with Brian McCullough at the Timonium store, and we can't say enough great things about him or everyone else associated with the store.

First, Brian worked with my wife through about 2 hours of trying on different wedding rings, and even went and solicited other workers in the store for their opinion when she was down to 2 rings that she had a hard time choosing from.

Second, he did an awesome job of sizing both of our rings, as I have a giant knuckle that I had trouble fitting a ring on to, and my wife had a weird-sized ring finger (somewhere between 5 and 5.5 ring finger) that required the store to shave down the inside of the ring (which they did, no problem!). They also had some of the best prices around the Baltimore area (we went to about 10 different places, and it isn't even close in terms of price comparison, and the quality was virtually the same.).

Finally, the finished product was awesome, and the rings are of high quality and fit great. This place was simply fantastic (you can't beat their prices or their service), and make sure to ask for Brian if you go in. He was great to deal with.

The Best in Jewelry. Smyth's is a great place to shop for jewelry and gift items. My husband has purchased some beautiful pieces over the last 20 years. The shopping experience is always enjoyable from the time you are greeted at the front door until your purchase is complete. Their Sales personnel are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Customer Service Representatives are always very pleasant and efficient!! I wouldn't shop for jewelry anywhere else.

Smyth Jewelers is great!. When I want or need to buy my wife something special I always go to Smyth. I know that she will never be disappointed. The sales stafff is great and they really know how to work with my budget and send me home with a great gift.

Smyth is the only jeweler I trust!. Smyth is the place where we purchse all of our "important" jewelery. It is also the ONLY place where any of my "important" jewelery get repaired. The quality and integrity of Smyth Jewelers in unmatched. I cannot say enough about them.

Smyth -great place to shop. I've been shopping at Smyth for at least 20 years. They have great up-to date gift items that range in price.

The reason I shop there is the customer service.One example- I had a necklace that broke after 2 years and was not

able to be repaired. They said they'd give me $ 35.00 for the gold. I said I had just bought it there a couple of years ago for 6xs that amount. They looked it up and gave me a full refund. They also give free watch batteries while you wait. Over the years, I've had many different salespeople. In that 20 years, I've had one salesperson that was a little frustrating and rude, but

the vast majority are kind, patient and very helpful. They seek out help for you 99% of the time and the cookies

at the customer service counter are delicious and keep my children quiet!!

They really work with you to make you happy.
