Not bad for 25$. I got the groupon for this place, 25$ for a haircut. I'd gotten groupon haircuts before, and had always had good experiences, and while Hair by Elite wasn't terrible, it was by no means great. The sign on the facade was comically dated (imagine pac man letters), but I was determined not to judge the book by it's silly cover. It was a very relaxed environment, well relaxed for the people working there. It was a fairly warm summer day, but the place was air conditioned, so it still seemed weird that all the employees were wearing shorts and tank tops. I didn't wait too long, which was nice. I talked briefly with my stylist Marie, who seemed a lot more interested in talking about her cousin's kid who had been bitten by a spider in her basement and who's mom didn't want blah blah blah... than my hair. I got in a couple words about what I wanted my hair to become before she whisked me off to get my hair shampooed (conditioner optional... weird). Also the lady shampooing my hair was wearing short shorts and she kept on touching my arm with her bare legs while chatting with her friends. I'm not weird about people touching me, but it was fairly uncomfortable to have this lady's upper thigh rubbed against my arm. When I finished getting my hair washed, I proceeded to get the fastest haircut I've ever gotten. I have easy boring hair, generally straight, and about medium thickness. I asked for a bob (I had gotten a bob before, and it grew out really badly) what I wanted was an angled bob, with no layers, but a curved bottom, and short bangs (which I already sort of had). What I got was the bluntest haircut known to man, and she didn't seem to know what to do with my bangs, I told her I was fine with her making them shorter to even them out, but I guess she wasn't, because she hardly touched the bangs I had inexpertly cut.

All in all, I'm not too annoyed, seeing as I got it for only 25$, but even if it was always 25$ I wouldn't go back. Nothing terrible happened, but I know there's much better out there.

Baltimore's Best Hair Salon and Staff. I have been getting my hair cut and colored since the mid 90's at Hair By Elite. The Salon itself is beautifully decorated and the staff is amazing....and still there after all this time. Guido runs a tight ship and has only the best of the best! Color, high-lights/low-lights, cut and style are always perfect and lasting. I always receive compliments and am asked where I get my hair done. My daughter received her first haircut there and it was fun and painless! They use top products and know what works well with your hair. And if it really doesnt work for you...you can return it! How cool is that?! It is always a fun, friendly experience, that I look forward to! I highly recommend Hair By Elite to anyone from a salon with lots of style! They are a class act!!
