Less than average food. I have tried this restaurant 3 times over the past year and have found the same bad food every time. The restaurant is clean, but the food and flavor is well below average. The crab cakes are not even close to being anything anyone should order. They were full of shells and a very bad taste. I would never go back to this restaurant even if I were starving to death!

The best Cream of Crab Soup in town!. My husband and I have gone there many, many times since coming to Baltimore. Every time our friends come to town, they insist on a stop at Captain Harvey's. They have the best Cream of Crab Soup and Broiled Crab Cakes in town. Everything that we have ordered or our friends have ordered has been absolutely wonderful! This place is great!

Bad Food and Very Expensive. The food here was NOT great despite being very expensive. One dish ordered was the stuffed shrimp. You would expect to be served quite a few shrimp. However, 3 shrimp were all that were in the dish. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. I WILL CERTAINLY NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

Captain's Toast Rules!. Captain Harveys has a great overall selection, including fresh seafood, steaks, chicken, etc. Your best bet is to try some of their specialty dishes, particularly the "Captain's Toast" ... it is WONDERFUL!
