In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.

One of the cleanest movie theaters among very few!. I highly recomend this theater, because i love to go to the movies with my friends. but my favorite part of the whole thing is that when we all go to a theater that we dont smell the commond theater smell. "oily popcorn" my friends and i love to go to theaters that almost smell like a new construction becase they are so clean. what ever you do do not go to montgomery, P.G and Haword counties theaters all you are going to smell is the nasty old popcorn oil. You'll be smelling it for days after you went to the movie. Muvico and this Amc are the best two we have discovered. And my friends and i live in Montgomery and PG Counties, but we preffer to drive the extra miles.
