HORRIBLE CENTER. I have had two daughters that have worked here and my oldest said this has totally changed the way she feels about day care centers and she hopes she never has to have her child attend one and would never, ever recommend this center. The things that goes on after the parents leave is horrible, they have just the right coverage when the parents pickup and drop off their children and when all is clear they send the staff home to come back later when it is time for pick up, there is a set schedule to change the childrens diapers and if they need to be changed before the scheduled time, it doesn't happen. They have even witnessed and was told to strap some children in their seats for a long period of time.

Betty does not treat her staff well. My oldest daughter didn't last 2 weeks she couldn't take the humiliation and inconsistency and how the children were treated. Betty didn't treat the children herself unfairly she instructs her staff to do it. My youngest daughter stayed with the hopes it would work out, she loves working with children but than again she was only 17 when she started. Betty does not follow the labor laws of MD as someone that works in an HR department she breaks so many of the labor laws. She humiliates her staff in front of others, especially the youger staff because she can get away with it. My daughter has even left there before crying, but she has gotten attached to the children. The way the staff picks on the kids is horrible.

Don't take your children there unless your desperate or don't care about them!!

Great Center. I'd like to say that the person below me is completely wrong about what they said. I used to work at WMCC and I loved it! I enjoyed working with the children. Ms. Betty cares about those children more than herself. Ms. Betty does not treat her employees like trash, if she isn't happy with the way she does their job, then she will come to you and talk to you about it. Although I do not work there anymore I still would recommend taking your child to this center. Your child always comes first and Ms. Betty does so much for all of those kids! She truley loves and cares about them.

Happy Parent. My 2.5 year old has been attending the center on Winding Way since she was 6-months old. Over the past two-years I've been happy with the center, it's staff, and it's owner. My daughter is happy to attend, is happy to share parts of her day with me, and often doesn't want to leave. She has had some medical problems and the communication between the center and myself has been good. We've received plenty of those "incident reports" at home and they seem to complete them for any incident, no matter how minor.

The owner has invested in many improvements in the past 2-years, the newest is a splash pad for the younger children to enjoy water play time. While this is a business, and must be run like one, it seems clear to me that she cares about the children. It's not rare to see her coming in excited with a new toy she's recently purchased for a classroom.

It's a daycare center, no one is ever going to be 100% happy with how their child is being taken care of by someone else. Yes, the higher qualified staff is there during the bulk of the instruction time and younger, less-qualified staff are there for the later pick-up times. This makes since because the center is open for 11-hours each day. Better to have the higher-qualified "teachers" there when the majority of the kids are there. Also, the owner seems to be around mostly in the evenings when I am picking up so it appears she more closely monitors the younger staff members.

Yes, turnover can seem to be high, particularly with the pick-up staff. However, when I look back she's been through several different rooms as she's aged. Vonda is still there (6-months) as is Tabitha (7-months - 1-year), and Crystal (1-year to 1.5 years). She is now being taken care of by someone who I know has been there a long time because I've seen her these past two years. So while the auxiliary staff turns over often the core staff seems to remain.

Staff are expected to do their jobs and are disciplined accordingly. I know of one staff member who I liked that was terminated immediately for texting when she was in charge of children. Perhaps these rules are why there are so many disgruntled, seemingly young women working their first job, posting on this site.

Bottom line is that I would recommend White Marsh Child Care to my friends.

very upsetting. I know of three people that worked at this daycare, and they have told me horror stories please dont take your children unless your good with them being strapped in a chair all day. they told me on three different occasions of employees dropping babies and the parents were never informed!

The owner of the center teats all her employes like they are stupid, and talks behind the parents back.

When you leave your child in someone else care you would hope you could trust them, SO not the case. You can best beleive that there are not enough care givers per child the law is 3 to 1 most of the time its 6 to 1

But when the owner is known to pay off the state when being checked out what can you do?

All i can say is check it out ,one day show up unannounced!

White Marsh Trash Care. Enjoy the complete trash experience at White Marsh Trash Care. It comes fully equipt with kids watching your kids. Completly UNDERSTAFFED in every room all most everyday! Adding more and more kids until the cots are on top of each other because there in not enough room for them all to be down at once.

Having the owner PAY OFF CCA. So that when they come nothing will be done anyways.

Having DIRECTORS lie on accident reports about something that is not the whole truth. And did i mention that sometimes if your lucky no accident report will even be sent home.

Staff members who are completely clueless and is the main reason to so many accidents mainly because they are not certified in any way they are just babysitters.

You can most definitly bet that if your child is under the age of 2 that they will be straped into chairs all day becuase of the staffing problem, or the fact that their caregivers are too lazy to actually engage in any sort of learning activities at all.

There are different age groups in all classrooms not one room is constitant. The ratio's change in "the huffs" mind everyday so one minute its 3 to one the next its 10 to one.

Pretty much if your looking for an experience like none other take your child here.

Nothing there is consistant. The schedules are different everyday. They lose teachers so expect on meeting about 5 teachers within one classroom. And if staff is not givin in certain rooms the genius jenn will replace that staff with a working interview. COMPLETE MORONS! jenn the director is the dumbest person i have ever met who probably cant remeber how to spell her own name let alone if your child needs medication or not. All i have to say about becky is that she went to town riding on a ding dong. and Betty is one of the nastiest ladies i have ever met. And is better off staying at Target where she belongs.
