Ignore the naysayers. They don't appreciate the thought that goes into the menu selections at the BE. While the menu is limited, it's because they are able to prepare the freshest meals and most creative dishes. The staff has always been polite and attentive, never snobbish. They are knowledgable and eager to tell you all about the history of the building. The manager always walks around to check on the patrons.

If you're looking for a large selection, then go to the Cheesecake Factory, but if you're looking to dine in an elegant atmoshere with other adults who appreciate fine dining, then go the the BE.

Overpriced, underserved.. I took my fiance to Brass Elephant on Valentine's Day. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, yet we still were not seated for an hour after our reservation time. We passed the time going broke at the bar paying $15 for a beer and a glass of wine. When we were finally seated we were relaxed by the soothing sounds of the bose wave radio positioned in the corner, yet kept extremely alert by the freezing cold dining room. The waiter didn't bring us a wine list..when he did the prices vs. quality was insulting...I could go on and on. The food is good. Probably very good, but the experience is not worth the money. Trust me. Go to Bicycle or Birches instead. You (and your wallet) will be glad you did.

Great Evening!. Wonderful setting, service and food. Well worth the visit into a setting from the 1850's. We were told that most of the details are all from the original home including the fireplaces, moldings, sconces and chandeliers. Best crab cakes we ever had.

Always great atmosphere. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The best place to take Dad and his business associates when they come to town. Best spot to take Sisters from TX & OR for lunch. Best place to take Capt little brother and Capt wife hot off the ships from AK, CA, Singapore, etc.

Just perfect. The Brass Elephan hosted my rehearsal dinner (approx. 50 guests) and it was just perfect. They were easy to work with in planning the event and the dinner itself was wonderful. The service was great and the food was outstanding. My thanks to all the management and staff.

elegant outside, disappointing inside. The Brass Elephant dining experience was an over-priced disappointment. The atmosphere was charming, set in a historic building, however, the menu selection left much to be desired. If you are looking to satisfy everything but your taste-buds, this is the place for you.

the BEST dining experience EVER. This place is absolutely BREATH-TAKING in their decor, service, and food. The house has a lot of history, which if you are curious to learn, you can just ask any of their staff. You can also look through old pictures when Louis XIV lived there....or one of those guys. The creme brulee is THE BEST EVER. You will never taste ANYTHING so wonderfully light and delicious. The furniture and room decor will make you feel like you are a millionaire, and surprisingly the prices for food aren't that bad. Guys--if you want to impress the ladies with a nice classy meal--TAKE HER HERE~! NO DOUBT~!

baltimore lady. a very beautiful and victoria setting in a historic building mkes getting dressed up for dinner fun and rewarding i wish more retrurants required this elegance foood and wine are excelent
