Not to be believed. They get two strikes - One...I went there expecting what their own website advertises... ie- "under $30". I realized that that referred to the entre only, but my $135 bill still jolted me a bit. I think it's ok for a restaurant to charge high prices, but please tell people the truth ! ... Under $30, nah, Strike 1.

Strike 2 came when I received an e-mail asking me why I had not honored my reservation ! Bad recordkeeping can really upset customers. I noticed that they didn't make a mistake on my bill, however ! They got that right !

Too Much Too much.. Not my kind of Italian. Not a single traditional offering on the entire menu. Mint on everything. If you like expensive and ala carte this is the place. Looking for a great Italian dinner. Head to Little Italy.

Great Restaurant. This is a greaty restaurant. Very upscale, gourmet. Which means you need to ask questions. No restaurant is good at everything on their menu. Do some digging with your server. I have had some awesome risotto at this location. I like the atmosphere and service in this establishment.

not for us. went there on valentines day, atmosphere was nice, however we were taken to the bar to wait for our table, we were unable to order drinks timely or in a matter without getting bumped into. Once we were seated, we sat elbow to elbow to the tables next to us, it was hard to concentrate on anything other then other peoples' conversation. Be very prepared for a HEAVILY influenced spinach menu, it seems to top or a la carte every choice. Not impressed and certainly not romantic. On the plus the service was good, although he forgot what we ordered as a starter and blamed the chef. Bon Apetit

An Excellent Choice. I went to Sotta Sopra for New Years Eve and it was the best experience I ever had in my many years of Dining in Baltimore and all over the world.

Valet Parking. The food is outstanding, its not your everyday same old italian pasta dishes. Its much more than that (you have to personally experience it). The service was very professional, fun yet unintruding. And as far as the price, it was very reasonable. This is An Excellent Choice for any night of the week.

Explore a different approach to Italian cuisine at this lively, contemporary bistro.. The Scene
High ceilings, colossal mirrors and gigantic murals contribute to Sotto Sopra's hip, elegant atmosphere. It's the kind of place where casual and high class harmoniously merge. The light jazz music paired with flickering candles sets the mood, and simply put, the service is superb.

The Food
Sotto Sopra's cutting-edge Italian cuisine is far from spaghetti and meatballs. Menu items are served on colorful, geometrically shaped plates, and portions are plentiful. Smoked salmon with asparagus and paper-thin beef carpaccio, served with shaved Parmesan in lemon-truffle oil, are delectable appetizers. Entrees include beef, seafood and eclectic pasta dishes. The homemade risotto doesn't disappoint, although the sliced duck breast resting atop it tends to be overcooked. Chilean sea bass with white-grape mint sauce is a unique, refreshing choice and a feast for the eyes. For dessert, try the hazelnut crepes stuffed with banana ice cream and topped with thick caramel.

Fun Place & Great Food. Sotto Sopra is stylish, but the food is also worth the trip. It gets busy on weekends so make a reservation or eat at the bar. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Comparable in atmosphere (and food) to a Manhanttan restaurant.

One of your best bets in B-More.

Eh!. I could take or leave this one. Service was great. Very posh decor and great ambience. Too expensive for what you get. Food is gourmet. It seems more time goes into giving the food a beautiful presentation to the eye then to the quality of it's taste. Our group left still hungry! They don't give you much for what you pay!
