Editorial Review for Downtown Sports Exchange – by Steve Lichtenstein

In Short
DSX is practically within spitting distance of Camden Yards, so patrons will find, naturally enough, a sporty atmosphere with large-screen TVs broadcasting various athletic events, and a decor heavy on sporting memorabilia, trophies, etc. Drinkers can choose from numerous beers on tap--ranging from Killians to Yuengling--while diners can order from a full menu of conventional pub grub, burgers included.

Where to Sit

If you need to get away from the smoke or screaming sports fans, there's outdoor seating in front, perfect for Oriole sightings and Yankees-fan bashing.

We stopped by before and after the Orioles and Detriot Friday game. 12 in our group. We sat outside on the patio. We were served right away. The new general manager greated us and made suggestions off their specials. Food was superisingly good. Place was packed inside and out. Next time I'm in Baltimore, we'll be there.

Pros: Food great - Service was good.

Cons: Tough to park.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a drink and something to eat. The place has a nice set-up with the various tv's and decor, however despite having a $20 out on the bar, I received absolutely no service from the shaggy haired bartender or the bartender/waitress who had on an Adam Jones Jersey . After waiting for over 5 minutes, I left and went next door to the bar next door. Can't give a positive review to a place that has no interest in serving customers.

Packed on game days, this downtown bar is a good place to get a beer before the action.  See the full editorial review.
