Good as always. Still has good drinks, people are a little drunker than they used to be. Good music and cool bar. Close to everything. Good for after movie drinx!
For a dose of old-school cool, join the crowd at this haunt across the street from Baltimore's premiere art cinema..
In Short
The ultra-hip Club Charles has a history as long as its drink list. Over the past century, as the neighborhood has gone from sophisticated to run-down to rehabilitated, this trendy hangout has consistently drawn a young, eclectic mix to its long bar and the booths lining one of its red walls. With a large mural of an old New York moviehouse overhead, the joint's dark interior often reverberates with music from the jukebox.
Seriously cool "dive bar". One of the most unique bars I have ever been in- art deco walls with bartenders in black leather and excellent drinks. Where the artists hang out with moviegoers and locals- John Waters appears regularly. One problem- the clock is ALWAYS fast and you will have to leave closer to 1:30 than 2- and they ARE NOT nice about it!
