No Visit to Baltimore is Complete Without It!.
One of the best small art museums in the country. Underappreciated, but a most lovely treasure. Artworks are lushly displayed (no chrome-on-a-white-wall minimalism here). My favorite sections are ancient Greek and Roman, and, the best, the medieval. Such beauty is balm for the soul. Please go and sing its praises! With the upcoming (starting October, 2006) free admission, there's no excuse not to!

A Little Culture, HON!.
I've been to many museums around the world, and there is no finer display than the Walters. The special exhibits are always supurb.....the time and effort which goes into every showing is obvious.
With the Walters in town, Baltimore does not take a back seat to any other metropolitan area when it comes to wonderful art of various media.
Dr. Vikan has done a marvelous job of developing a world class museum.

Great History and Art.
What a delightful setting for the art - especially the Asian collection! The history of the family who gathered the original collections is a wonderul story entwined with the history of Baltimore.
