Best Italian Food In Baltimore. We had the most amazing experience at Boccaccio recently. This restaurant is the most consistantly premiere Italian restaurant in Baltimore. They are always so friendly and inviting it is hard to leave at the end of the night. Our food was amazing from the Risotto, to the Dover Sole, Veal Chops,Softshell crabs, and on and on. We couldn't stop talking about how great the food was all night. Carlos was our server and he was the epitome of professional service. The wine selections are second to none. Can't wait to go back!

REAL Northern Italian Food. Anyone who truly knows what real Northern Italian food is, knows this is the ONLY restaurant in Baltimore that serves it. The sauces are prepared for days in advance. The quality of the food is at a level unknown to most restaurants. The ambience is classic yet comfortable.

A few things to note: Giovanni Rigati, owner is the ONLY certified chef in Little Italy. His daughter, Marlena, attended Cordon Bleu in London, England. His brother-in-law, Bert, a professional bartender and true gentleman makes the best drink and provides classy service.

This is a special occassion or no-reason-at-all place to spoil yourself and your guest. Order the clams casino or stuffed calamari for appetizer, veal tenderloin with a side of linguini marinara or broccoli for dinner and zabaione (custard with berries) for dessert!

Avoid it!. For a pricey restaurant, I was not impressed. The bread was stale and hard. The Risotta did not taste fresh. Most expensive restaurants I have gone to would clean the crumbs after eating bread - not this place. The food was plain to me. Nothing sparkled when I ate. Usually when I tell the restaurant it is my birthday they create an special dessert and they sing, not this place. I been to alot of italian restaruants and they do this. So I was deeply disappointed.

Best restaurant meal in years! More wine please!. Quality, value for money food, a great evening with friends. This place would be perfect to bring friends, business colleagues, or families without rugrats. I had not been before(my wife tried it before for lunch with colleagues) but I will be back for more. If you want a night to go well because you need to impress, its so good to know everything will be looked after by staff in places like this.

My wife's friend is infamous for being a pain about wine lists, she's normally never happy. This time she was in heaven! There's a massive wine list with so much variety. We ate all our courses which is a good sign, usually my wife leaves the food on a plate and waits till we get home to complain. The sauce and mushrooms with my chicken was so good I got some bread to soak up what was left, it was that good. Overall the night probably couldn't have gone any better!

Worst. We went to Boccaccio's for the first time last night. What a miserable experience! We had a reservation for 8:30. When we arrived we were told that they were "running behind". We were ok at that point...we went to the bar to wait (which was crowded with smokers, by the way). Slowly the bar started thinning out as people were seated. Finally, after over an hour, we were seated...in a dining room with at least 5 empty tables. OK, whatever, we were hungry. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine and listened to our waiter rattle off the specials while looking around the room. We felt rushed, which considering the wait seemed very unfair. The food was mediocre and overpriced. What a disappointment! But the worst moment came at the end. My husband asked to speak to the manager about our wait. "Dino" came over to our table and basically called us liars - he denied that we waited over an hour and then incredibly said that the dining room was full when we were seated. He kept arguing with us even after we said ok, forget about it. It was the worst case of "customer service" I have ever been subjected to in a restaurant. Of course I'm sure that the regulars who sat next to us might disagree - we witnessed them getting special courses. It was one of the most expensive meals we've had in quite a while and by far the worst. Stay away!!!

Poor Customer Service. I have been to this restaurant before, always a wonderful experience. This time I take my husband & a very important client & his wife for dinner. It was a disaster!! My meal was unexceptable, my husbands wasn't much better. I ordered another entree which was fine. When we were done with our main course, our waiter forgot about us. I had to ask for service, another waiter came & mixed up our order. Then I had to ask for coffee, I got the bill & it was incorrect!!! I had to ask for an adjustment. They didn't even apologize! I was embarrased & could not believe that we were treated this way. Never again! A. Kropfelder

Best restaurant in Little Italy. This restaurant has it all, great food, great service and ambiance. Finally an Italian restaurant in Little Italy that knows how to prepare veal, the best veal chop in town, the service was great and the wine list is hard to beat. The prices are high but worth every penny compared to the rest of the restaurants in the neighborhood, this is one place you need to try!

GREAT SERVICE & DELICIOUS FOOD!!. These people are some of the friendliest, most customer-oriented staff we have ever experienced. They bend over backward to meet your every need!

We were concerned about the logistics of planning our son's wedding rehersal dinner, but all our cares were allayed by Treavor, the restaurant GM, he solved all of our problems, and treated us like royalty. To be sure of our banquet menu we sampled several different entrees and wines, all of which were outstanding! The desserts were great too!

Boccaccio Restaurant. This establishment has seen its best days. The food is very basic, the portions are skimpy and the prices are high. 3 people with wine cost $256 for an inferior meal. More than this the timing of the meal was off with little time to relax between courses. They were not willing to substitute either spinach or asparagus for green greens because of the cost differential, yet served pasta instead of the green beans by mistake. No personalized service. Do not waste a nice evening or your money. I should have known why there were empty tables on a Friday night.

Food Superb! Lounge was terrific. A first time visitor to this restaurant. The veal was succulent. The service was splendid. I will visit Boccaccio's again and tell all my friends about this wonderful place. Several friends and I visited the lounge..what a great atmosphere; relaxed, warm and friendly. You owe it to yourself to visit this charming, romantic restaurant and lounge!.
