I Visit Little Italy Very Frequently.
At this southern Italian restaurant, you are always treated as family. My favorite dish is the Chicken Raffaello (chicken breast w/ artichoke hearts, prosciutto, mozzarella, mushrooms and Marsala) I usually go for an imaginative special though, always thoughtful and full of flavor.

Worst resturant experience EVER.
I ordered chicken marsala and got chicken mc'nuggets in marsala sauce. To top it off the wait staff was the most arrogant group of people i have ever met. I was slightly under-dressed and got nasty looks from the wait staff and other arrogant customers. The table next to me started making nasty comments to my girlfriend and I because of our attire, which was casual since we came straight from work. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, he did not seem to care at all. This blew my mind because I spent over $200 (2 bottles of wine) and somehow this was not enough to get any sort of respect from the manager. These people have no business being this arrogant because their restaurant is VERY AVERAGE, I am from New York, and any restaurant in the real Little Italy puts this place to shame.

Average.
The food was ok, but nothing special - the veal was tough, maybe overcooked. The service was definitely lacking, the waiter took our order and brought us our check. The wine was good, bartender was good and the bus boy (who perpetually brought us water and was the only staff to wish us a pleasant evening) was good. Tiramasu was lady fingers, whipped cream and cocoa powder (Piedigrotta has them beat hands down) - maybe try the canoli? In our opinion this place is overrated - maybe they're just coasting on their own press...

They make any visit a special occaision..
This is our any occaision, visiting friends or family, New Year's Eve place to go for good food and wine. We are treated like family and no request is too big or too small. Although you can run up a big tab you can also enjoy the dining experience for not too much money. Definitely save space for dessert - the cannoli's are fabulous! Worth a visit, if only to sample the wines in their cellar.

One of our favorites!.
This is one of my fiancé and my favorite places in the city - we bring friends and family to La Scala every chance we get. While it can get pricey, it doesn't have to (their pasta dishes are affordable & delicious). If you want a treat though, get the grilled Caesar salad, followed by the Veal Baltimore - sautéed Veal Scaloppini with lump crab in Old Bay & white wine (not always on the menu, but I've never been turned down when I asked for it special - indicative of the classy yet family-run service) with a nice red from their excellent wine list, then Tiramisu or Cannoli with a coffee & Amaretto.

Attention to detail makes the difference here!.
One of the best meals we have had in a long time! Service was great (Kudos to Carlos our server!) Atmosphere was cozy and inviting! Wine was great and complimented the meal well! Best cannoli's in town so don't forget to order one with your cappuccino for dessert! We highly recommend this resaurant for a wonderful dining experience!

Awesome little place.
I like this place..... My friends had a small meet there for dinner last week, but after I read the last review I got a little worried. We got there early and had drinks at the bar, the bar tender was very cool and had allot of great suggestions, I recommend the chicken breast with crabmeat. The food was awesome and waiter was the best. We all had a great time and Im definitely coming back.....

Food snobs.
The last thing that I expect to find in a blue collar town like Baltimore is uppity service from a tiny restaurant with below average food. Could not believe the reaction of waiter when we had the audacity to ask if they served meatballs or sausage!! He told us that they do not service meatballs, sausage, manicotti, lasagna or eggplant. His tone was overtly arrogant. Much like his later on when he informed us that they were out of the capellini (which they were able to grace their menu with) just before the other food arrived. Nice salad guys, but no thanks. I will take a real Italian restaurant with real people over this one any day of the week!!!

Real Italian.
This is by far the best restaurant I've to in years. I and all my freinds really enjoyed the great food and great wine. This is a real Gem in Little Italy.
