One of the best acquariums. And I have been to quite a few. On the pricier side but it seems all acquariums are fairly expensive. I am sure the cost to maintain is very high. The dolphin show was excellent although short.
Love the aquarium, but parking is expensive. I took my kids to the aquarium last week and was shocked to see how much tickets + parking would cost for the day. Instead of parking in the garage, I used parkingpanda[dot]com to rent a parking space in the area for the day. It was pretty easy to use and saved me some money. Hope this helps!
Don't miss when in Baltimore. Our 7 and 12 year old loved it. It was nice to see the excitement in their faces while they came across a creature that was new to them. I heard about the jelly exhibit from a co-worker and it ended up being one of our favorites. The 4-D theatre was good too. And of course, we made a trip to the gift shop to buy something that will remind the kids of their trip.
Great aquarium albeit a bit pricey.
While this isn't my absolute favorite aquarium (Long Beach), it is definitely in the top five. The displays could be a little bit larger in a few areas and the biggest complaint I had is that many of their attractions have animals displayed that should be in the tank but half of them are missing. And there's not a single jellyfish in the whole place...what's up with that?
Otherwise, the newest attractions of frogs and Australia are highly recommended as is the large Ray / Shark displays.
AWESOME VISIT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. By far the best Aquarium. You will love the dolphin show PLAY! It's included with admission & it alone is worth the price of the aquarium. Try to by your tickets ahead of time rather then pay to double park in the area as you are given a timed ticked. Ticketmaster offers these but call them in. If you buy in advance you can pick your time & go as early as possible to avoid crowding at the aquarium. Pay close attention to what it says is the best time to go on their web site cause it will get crowded! The sites more then compensate for any waiting that you may have to do. There is no way I could every say enough about the exhibits as they are ALL AWESOME! Definitly going back! HATS OFF! AAA+++ Plan for 4 hours to enjoy!
It's a water wonderland showcasing a stunning variety of aquatic creatures while teaching visitors how best to preserve their homes..
Overview
Believe it or not, you can tour the tidewaters of Maryland, the Pacific coastland or a tropical rainforest without leaving Baltimore. Or go deeper and deeper through the Atlantic coral reef into the open ocean, observing numerous species of fish and the sharks that swim at the lowest depths.
Features
In addition to well-designed permanent exhibits, dolphins wave, jump and flip in regularly scheduled shows at the Marine Mammal Pavilion. Catch an underwater view from the atrium below or watch the tricks from the stands, but be warned: The bleachers marked Splash Zone really are splash zones. The National Aquarium is devoted to conservation. Put your loose change in one of the strategically placed converted parking meters to help preserve the Amazon rain forest and the Atlantic coral reef.
Had a great time. I Used Membership pass to enter and had easy access for Senior. Will be going back meany times.

sealife adventure. The National Aquarium is grand with all the levels to visit eventually ending at the top of a rain forest. The dolphins show is great. Has a lot of exciting variety of habitats and sealife
Seal Tank only. The Seal or Sea Lion tank on the outside of the Aquarium is a wonderful free attraction that has given me and friends and family hours of delight.
