rude manager at Ruxton Cleaners. My mother brought a fancy beaded dress to Ruston Cleaners to have spots removed from the shoulders only. The manager said that he could not do the shoulders only but would have to clean the entire dress. When we picked it up today, the spots were still there but the beading was coming undone around the neck. He said that a tailor could fix that. I asked if that would be for free. He said that that tailor would put it back. I asked again if it would be for free. He began yelling at me, "Lady, do you know how old this dress is?" I said I did but that didn't answer my question. He yelled again. I asked him to stop yelling at me and he continued saying that the dress was old -- it IS10 years old. I asked him again to stop yelling at me. He offered to continue to try to remove the spots but by this time we just wanted out of the store. I would never go to this shop again and would never recommend anyone else to deal with this man.

Graffiti there for over a year!. Ruxton cleaners has had rude graffiti on thier back wall for such a long time now and they just WON'T clean it up! People from the nearby neighborhood have been in to complain and yet the graffiti is still there.

What does this say about their business? They won't take care of thier property. How do they take care of the clothes customers bring in?

I would give RUTXTON DRY CLEANERS NO stars if I could!. I dropped off a down, king sized comforter in the summer to have it drycleaned. My husband dutifully picked it up & then I stored it away until it was needed, only to discover when it was needed that we were given a TWIN synthetic comforter instead! Bottom line: I paid $45 to have Ruxton Dry Cleaners LOSE a $250 duvet!

I also tried them to have 1 ladies suit & 1 pair of pants cleaned and was charged $25!

This place is a rip off & not recommended!

WAY overpriced. I was charged:

2.75 each Mens Dress Shirt

6.00 each Mens Polo Style Shirt

6.00 each Mens Dess Pants

17.50 for a Dress-When I asked about this price, I was told that it is regularly $15, but they UPcharged me $2.50 more because the dress was black and white fabric and it is supposedly harder to clean

I called cleaners (Carousel, J & J, Seminary, York, and Grand) within a 3 mile radius of this one and found an average of:

1.88 for mens dress shirts,

5.19 for mens dress pants

10.68 for a ladies dress (cotton/rayon)

Also, I dropped the clothes of on Monday around lunch. It was Thursday before I could pick them up.

Highly Recommended. I am new to the area and was in need of a good dry cleaner. I tried a few other places before finally stopping in at Ruxton. The owners are very friendly people and care about their business. They do excellent work and I highly recommend them!!
