VERY, VERY Positive First Visit!!!!. I was referred to About Faces in Towson by a colleague. Before my first visit, I read quite a few very negative reviews of this salon. I was hoping that the reviews were wrong.

I visited About Faces in Towson last night for the first time. IT WAS AWESOME!!! Don't believe everything you read when you see negative reviews. I am not sure what the negative reviewers were talking about. I am an African American woman (the salon is predominantly Caucasian), and I felt totally comfortable and welcome in this salon. I did not feel like anyone there was stuck up or unfriendly/unprofessional. The receptionist immediately greeted me in a very friendly, professional manner and walked me back to introduce me to my stylist, Chel Joyner.

Chel was very friendly and professional as well. My wait was not very long at all. They respected my time, and Chel was not working on 10 other clients while I was being shampooed. By the way, the shampoo girl was very good. I felt like I was being shampooed by a massage therapist. It was very relaxing.

Chel gave me a great hair cut. It was very precise. Before she cut my hair, she asked me what I wanted. She got my cut pretty much exactly like the picture that I brought in. I was in and out of the salon in a little over one hour. I am already scheduled for another appointment and will get a relaxer and color with Chel next time. I am very impressed with this salon, and I will be back regularly!!

Customers are obnoxious and clueless. How would you all like it if someone came to your work and did nothing but bitch about you and how crappy you work? Do you bitchy clients know that after you complain about your service after the work has been done, that it comes out of the paycheck of the person who did your service? About faces takes money out of people's paychecks each time you complain, did you know that? How would YOU CLIENTS like it if you did an hour massage and then some nasty ass client goes to customer service and complains? How about clients take showers and wash yourselves prior to coming to the spa and learn how to tip? Can't afford it? Stay home then. The one who only complain about everything just to get it free can just stay home and you know who you are. Get a life, people that provide service have families too and all you do is bitch and complain. Peace

Highly Recommend this Place!. I'm just a guy on a business trip in Baltimore. I really needed a haircut and a massage. Just got back from the About Faces in Towson. Wow! Danielle isn't messing around. She's a healer and gave me the best massage. Carly was my hairstylist. She really spent a lot of time with me and made my haircut exactly right for me. They made me feel great and I highly recommend you go there. This is my first review ever.

Worst Hairstylist EVER!. Don't go to the Towson location; rude and gossip hairstylist named Mardie. Worst experience in a long time.

About Faces Canton. I had a great experience at About Faces in Canton. I received a pregnancy massage from AmyLynn and she did a great job. The salon itself is upscale and makes you feel spoiled with it's quiet room, lemon water, and spa pedicures overlooking the water. It's a bit pricey but worth it as a treat every once in a while!

About Faces in Timonium. I have been to a few nail salons in the area, I've never been "WOWed" but I have been satisfied. That is until I got cut at Star Tips and realized how unsanitary many of these places were. I decided to try a more upscale nail salon and I had the most AMAZING experience. I visited the About Faces in Timonium and saw Janice, and my sister saw Anastasia. I got a french manicure and my sister got a regular manicure. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by Ashley (very pretty and smiley!) who immediately offered us something to drink while we waited (we only ended up waiting for a minute or so) and she led us back to the nail part of About Faces, where we were offered a drink again (how nice!). We were immediately set down and those ladies made you feel like you were best friends all your lives! They did a beautiful job on both of us and I wanted to stay longer just to keep talking with them! As we left they offered us some tea to bring with us on our way home, they obviously cared about us!

It was a little more expensive then I'm used to but you get what you pay for and I tell you, it was WORTH IT. I cant wait to go back again!!!!

Have had wonderful experiences. I arrived way early for my appointment, so I was escorted to a lovely, relaxing space where I drank tea and ate cookies until my time arrived. It was wonderful. I received a wonderful cut and color from Lisa, and went home a very happy customer.

Great Service!!!!. Went in to get my haircut and colored and they do a good job with my spike and will definitely go back again. plus the girls there are hott!!! Thank You!

Worth the money!. It's rare to find a colorist and stylist who actually listens to what you want. Lisa Perry at About Faces in Canton is that person. She makes suggestions to solve your individual hair problems and suggests (but doesn't push) the products they sell. I switched to Lisa six months ago. Sure, it's a few dollars more than my previous salon, but worth every penny.

LISA DOES GREAT COLOR!. I live in West Virginia and have been to Lisa for color - because she is worth the drive! She listened and did exactly what I asked her to do! No more, no less, which is what we ALL want in a stylist, right? I like to be heard and not just be an empty canvas. She did the color I wanted when I asked for a little more red the next time she gave me just what I wanted! I wanted to go short and she gave me a very flattering cut for my face. I won't go to anyone else!!
