Best ToyShop around. My experience at Shenanigans was the most pleasant I've had recently. I'm just your typical Grandma trying to get my Grandkids the best yet most unique gifts available. I usually frequent the national chains but stepped into Shenanigans on the advice of my daughters. What a pleasant surprise!! I was allowed to browse at my leisureo to peruse the myriad of choices; but the staff were available to answer any and all questions I had. Unlike other reviews I have seen, I appreciate their expertise and input as far as selection and age appropriateness, etc. I willing defer to their experience and knowledge. Maybe the others are just insecure about their parenting skills and have control issues.

Very decent store. I've read the previous negative reviews - much to my horror - but have to say my experience was polar opposite. Very engaged, knowledgeable staff - desiring to help. For free, they wrapped the item I purchased, as it was a gift. Lots of interesting toys you won't find at Target or Walmart.

Perhaps they're trying to make up for what happened to the woman who wrote the negative review below. And for that, I applaud them. It's working.

An Excellent Spot to Buy Toys!. I'm a big fan of Shananigan's - every time I go in there, there are new things that delight the eyes and hands. The staff is super-helpful, always ready to help you find just the right gift for someone, or giving you a head's up about something you may not have known about. They're really friendly and always happy to go the extra mile - for me, it's usually special-ordering board games :)

I highly recommend it!!

To Bmoremama. Like the person who left a comment to Bmoremama's post, I too am a frequent and loyal customer of Shenanigans. But a good friend of mine who previously frequented Shenanigan's told me of an experience she had a few weeks ago almost identical to that experienced by Bmoremama. I will probably continue shopping at Shenanigans because I value the owner/son's toy advice and like having a small local shop. I personally have not had a bad experience with this store. But I am torn because of the way he treated my friend. He humilated her in front of the entire store essentially calling her a bad parent (something which she certainly is not). I dont know how to rate the store because of what has happened to my friend. I would give it 5 stars for the service I received and 1 star for the service she received.

The owners attacked me!. this is the worst retail experience I have ever had. I an you to stay away from this horribly unprofessional shop. The owner and her son verbally assaulted me about my coce of toys for my children. The owner had to physically push her son out the door to get him away from me....I thought he was going to hit me as the large man stood over me screaming that I was giving my daughter age inappropriate toys. He questioned my parenting, my ethics, my choices...in front of my children. After his mo my escorted him out of the store he stood outside ( in front of my husband) trashing me to passerbys. Crazy, Insane. This man might snap again...maybe at your kids!

Sweetest toy store ever!. I just love this shop! It is family owned and run and they are just the cutest ever! They are so passionate, knowledgeable and helpful about their selection of toys. My child knows them and likes all the people who work there. I just can't say enough good things about them.
