The Warmest Church in Charm City. When I first attended The New Metropolitan Baptist Church 6 years ago, I attended 2 or 3 times and enjoyed myself. However I did miss a Sunday or 2. Upon returning the Pastor, Rev. Dr. Richard Dickens, walked right up to me and said "Alex! Where have you been! We Missed You!" I was blown away! He missed me! He knew me by Name! Today, I am rooted and grounded in "The Church that Matters". I am so enthused by the Warmth and Friendliness that is so pervasive in my church. From the time you arrive at the door until the time you get in your car or catch the bus you will feel "Your In The Right Place, At The Right Time".

New Metropolitan Baptist Church- The church that matters!. I'v been a loyal member of New Met for over fifteen years. When I initially enter those doors I knew that I'd found a Christain home. The Shepard is Pastor Richard D. Dickens, he has proven to be a man of God moving, caring, and sharing the good word. He knows his congregation by name and when any of us are missing from church he ensures that we're okay. He's there to support All of us in our needs i.e. death of loved ones, loss of a job, relationship woes,etc. There are several ministries for spiritual interactions. The people at New Met are warm and friendly, come to visit on any Suinday and see how welcome you'll feel.
