my friends and i miss our old standby. the food was great, the atmosphere was friendly, the buffet was attractive, fresh and appetizing and best of all the price was more than reasonable. need a new spot for pigging out on sushi that's good and reasonable!!

Great buffet, great bar, great house menu!. I have been eating here since 2004, and have watched this restaurant change hands many times. But no matter who is in charge, I have never left disappointed or hungry.

If you are skeptical about a sushi buffet, give this one at least one chance. Even if you aren't all about the sushi, buy a buffet meal and you will get plenty of variety with things other than sushi (delicious bean sprouts, steamed mussels, BBQ ribs, glazed chicken, etc). I have taken friends along for the dinner buffet, and even those that were totally against the sushi idea still ate well and left with loosened belts!

If you want to interact, you can sit at the sushi bar and have your rolls made to order right in front of you. While sitting at the bar I have sometimes been treated to exotic delicacies by the chefs. If you prefer a more intimate atmosphere, take a seat in the dining area and you will still be waited on by the friendly staff. About mid-meal, you'll be brought out a plate of complimentary steak which is always my favorite part of eating at The Daj.

I would recommend this restaurant to those looking for a great sushi place to call their own.

The love (and sushi) is gone. Well, not _all_ the sushi... I went to NNDJ last week after a several-week hiatus and immediately noticed something was different when I entered. It was virtually empty, the usual staff was not there (save Julio) and the vibe was, well, there was none. When I got to the sushi end of the buffet, excited to load up on niguri sushi, there was none to be found. Instead, there was a small variety of maki, nothing special, and half without fish in them. Julio immediately explained that there were new owners. And just like that, this may be the end of the Daj for me. As you can imagine, no more complimentary BBQ beef, no more complimentary sushi salad. The service was uninspired. This was not the same New No Da Ji.

To be fair, I was told you could order niguri sushi for $1 a piece -- not the same! I kept going back to the sushi section hoping to magically find something yummy that hadn't been there during my last rtrip up to the counter...but to no evail. I tried some of the hot stuff, which I usually don't eat much of, and it was lackluster. This was the first time I have ever left the Daj hungry!

True, the buffet is cheaper by a fewebucks, but I'd much rather pay more for what I used to get. I'll give it another go in a few weeks to see if it gets any better but I suspect I'll have to search for another AYCE sushi bar -- are there any left? I've been through a few NNDJ management transitions over the past decade-plus but this has been the most painful. I hope the essence of Old No Da Ji returns and soon.

best & affordable place in baltimore. I was there a couple days ago and they lowered the price for lunch AND dinner. Now it is more affordable to eat there often. They also went through some changes on their menu. Now, they have the best hot food which they rotate everyday. The restraunt is very close to the inner harbor so I can easily come and enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet while in town. I encourage everyone to try this place!!

Best Korean restaurant I've eaten at in the U.S....!!! ENJOY!!!. I've never been too big on buffets as the food is usually only half decent at best. A good friend told me about New No Da Ji and the sushi they had there. Well, I've never been much for sushi!!! I thought OK I'll please him and go there with him for lunch. WOW!!! Authentic Korean food!!! I spent a year in Korea and it's hard to find a Korean restaurant let alone a good one. Everything was great!!! The only thing other than the sushi that I haven't had there was a salad, well, it's not Korean and I'm not going to waste space with a salad!!! They have a ginger/cinnamon drink that is free and rather spicey, too much for me so I add some water to it and it is very good. Lunch for $9.00 and dinner for $17.00. Dinner is exactly the same with the addition of marinated grilled pieces of steak that are to die for and all the " giant " snow crab legs you can eat. They have a very good selection of sushi but watch out for the one that is round and lays flat and has a dark red sauce on it as we laughed with a couple sitting next to us last night as the wife ate one and she said it tasted great but as it went down past the back of her tongue it started to burn and she was on fire!!! LOL!!! Bring the hose!!! LOL!!! I have been there enough times that I have met the owners and they themselves and the waitresses are all very friendly! As soon as you get up they take your plate and are attentive. You can sit at the bar and watch TV also. I said to the woman that owns ( probably 65% of it... LOL!!! ) that I was going to sit at the bar and watch TV until I could eat more and she told me that was OK we are open until 10:30!!! LOL!!!

I drive down from York, Pa. 2-3 times a week. I read some of the reviews above and they do not add a tip to the bill themselves and my friend says the sushi is very good. We do tip generously as it is a great buy!!!

ENJOY!!!

The best, time after time..... Ok, I'm a regular at this place.

I love it. The sushi and sashimi is always, absolultely always, incredible (20 visits?) The kim-chi is incredible. The location is a short jump from downdown and a wonderful drive in from the county

The lunch buffet prices always have my co-workers scratching their heads, wondering if they got undercharged, even us regulars. And the modest increases for the dinner buffet are worth it, although, candidly, this is close to my work but far from home, so dinner is a fairly rare (but special) event.

Complaning about an included tip? Give me a frigging break, you must be working for the competition. Unless you ate like a bird, you still got out for a song if you had the buffet.

OK, having said all that. Avoid this place - UNLESS you have a clue.

In more than 20 visits The New No Da Ji is ALWAYS fresh.

It is always tasty. I always eat too much, not because I'm hungry, but because I love it.

This is absolutely a BEST of BALTIMORE. You are cheating yourself if you don't check it out.

If you work or live near here and it is not already a regular haunt, you have no idea what you are missing.

OK, ONE small issue -

don't show up weekends between 3 and 5. Selection getts weak between the lunch and dinner buffets.

If you are looking for a late sushi lunch during these hours, seek another establishment.

I'm a live long baltimoron, hon and THIS PLACE IS DE BEST>

best sushi value anywhere, friendly service. I knew this was a great place when I ran into a friend there who mentioned that his family has been eating here for over ten years. The sushi was fresh and varied. There were lots of different types of maki, including my favorite one, rainbow roll. What I really liked is they kept varying their choices and each time I went up to check out the selection, there was something fresh. The Korean dishes were also delicious and plentiful. Parking was easy on Saturday night and the wait staff was friendly and accomodating. We will be back soon.

Best Sushi. We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. We have always had very fresh shashimi and sushi and love the neighborhood atmosphere of this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal here and will continue to patronize this restaurant. The prices are more than reasonable and when I go else where I am shocked at what is passed off as good sushi. If you ask they will let you know what is especially good tasting that night...

Not going back to this restaurant. I have very unpleasant experience in this restaurant because they demand and add tips on my bill even though my group was only 3 people and it was Buffet.

Food tasate was average.

Selections of food were not many as a Buffet restaurant. I am not going back to that restaurant ever again.

Illegal Behavior. The restaurants attempts to add a 20% tip to the bill when you pay. They do not tell you they havd added it, and when asked why, they say it is mandatory.
