The "NEW" Duck!!!!!!!!! – I recently visited the Wild Duck Cafe when I got wind of it being under NEW management. It was unbelievable! The food, service and over all atmosphere has done a complete 360! I was amazed at how pleasant everyone was from the time I walked in the door til the time I left. It made me want to spend the night!!! The music was fabulous--inside, yet not overwelming. The food has changed somewhat--for the better of course! The management really seams to care about the customers again!! They are really concerned on pleasing the customers.
If you've had bad experience in the past, I think it would be worth your while to give it another try. I am glad I did, and it'll be my new hot spot for the upcoming spring/summer!!!!!
Dirty Salad – DIRTY SALAD LEAVES! Small portion on the Chicken Ceasar Salad was made worse when the leaves were noticably dirty!
Waitress was indifferent to the whole mess.
Great view, lousy dirty food.
Excellent Place – I spent Sunday afternoon (June 15, 2008) at the Wild Duck for the first time and had a wonderful time. The music was great, the beer was cold and the food was excellent. If you are looking for a great bar get away go to the Wild Duck, they will make you feel welcome. The only bad part of it was the service is very slow on food and getting utinsils was a problem. I will still go back again and hope for better service because the atmosphere is GREAT.
Horrible service. – We went to the Wild Duck on Sunday evening May 25th. We were seated right away. It took the server 30 minutes to take our drink order. At that time we ordered soup and our dinners also. An hour later we had received only our drinks. The service was horrible and we left and went to another restaurant. The manager was extremely rude. After 90 minutes to have received nothing but drinks no bread etc and to have the manager act like it was our fault was unbelieveable.
Excellent crab cakes and gorgeous sunsets! – We stopped in to the Wild Duck mid May but we dined outside where the views were relaxing the sunset a winner. I loved the bars located waterside. The crab cakes and crab pretzel had lumps of meat and were very filling. Steamed shrimp were large and spiced well. The service was good, I recommend asking for waitress Kimmie!! Can't wait to go back when summer is in full swing and sit dockside and have a few drinks and some more crab cakes and shrimp!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena – Popular marina restaurant and bar serves fresh seafood and offers two bars, water views and live music.
Good food, great fun, come by boat or car – This place is incredible, the views are beautiful...palm trees and hibiscus. The tiki bar by the dock is great fun!! Live music, steel drums, acoustic, popular local artists. Everyone is friendly and lively..we had a fab time here!
dinner on the water – If you want to get together with a group of friends to get a drink, Wild Duck Cafe is a great place to go. You can dine inside, outside on the deck, or just have a couple of drinks at the bars inside, outside on the deck, and down on the beach at the tiki bar. The food is great and its wonderful to arrive there by boat.
